Iceland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "Never Forget" written by Greta Salóme Stefánsdóttir. The song was performed by Greta Salóme and Jónsi. Jónsi previously represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, where he placed nineteenth in the final of the competition with the song " Heaven". Greta Salóme Stefánsdóttir (; born 11 November 1986), known outside Iceland simply as Greta Salóme, is an Icelandic singer, songwriter, and violinist in the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. She represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan, in a duet with singer Jónsi with the song " Never Forget". They qualified from the first semi-final into the Eurovision final and eventually finished in 20th place with 46 points. Guðmundur Magni Ásgeirsson (born 1 December 1978 in Egilsstaðir, Iceland), known professionally as Magni Ásgeirsson, is a singer, songwriter, and musician. He is also currently the frontman for the Icelandic pop band Á Móti Sól. Outside of Iceland, he is most famous for being a contestant on the CBS reality show ''Rock Star: Supernova''. Þórunn Erna Clausen
Þórunn Erna Clausen (born 12 September 1975) is an Icelandic actress and songwriter. Clausen is the daughter of Olympic athlete and dentist Haukur Clausen. She studied drama at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London and graduated in 2001. In 2004, Clausen won an Edda Award for her supporting role in the Icelandic film, ''Dís''. Clausen was married to the musician Sjonni Brink who together composed " Coming Home", Iceland's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. Sveinn Rúnar Sigurðsson (born 24 December 1976 in Reykjavík) is an Icelandic songwriter, music producer, and medical doctor, best known for having composed two Eurovision Song Contest entries for Iceland, "Heaven" by Jónsi in 2004 and " Valentine Lost" by Eiríkur Hauksson in 2007. Ingólfur Þórarinsson (born 31 May 1986), commonly known as Ingó Veðurguð (''Ingó the Weather God''), is an Icelandic singer and songwriter and a former footballer. He plays with the band Ingó og Veðurguðirnir, best known for the 2008 hit song "Bahama" and the 2009 song "Gestalistinn". Eurobandið (Euroband) is the name of Icelandic technopop and dance duo Friðrik Ómar and Regína Ósk, who together represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, Serbia. Regína Ósk Óskarsdóttir (born 21 December 1977, in Reykjavík) is an Icelandic singer. She has participated for Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2001, 2003, and 2005 as a backing vocal, and in 2008 as a member of Eurobandið with the song " This Is My Life". Páll Óskar Hjálmtýsson (born 16 March 1970), known internationally as Páll Óskar and Paul Oscar, is an Icelandic pop singer, songwriter and disc jockey.
