Never Been Caught
''Never Been Caught'' is the only full-length studio album by the American garage punk band the Mummies, released by Telstar Records in 1992. After their first attempt at recording an album, they judged the recordings too professional for their "budget rock" aesthetic and recorded ''Never Been Caught'' instead. Originally released only as an LP record, it exemplified their lo-fi, monaural sound and features several cover versions of songs from the 1950s and 1960s. The band broke up shortly before the album's release and, though they have reunited since for intermittent touring and performances, ''Never Been Caught'' remains their only officially-released studio album. In 2002 the Mummies allowed Telstar to re-release the album in compact disc format with five additional tracks, the first Mummies release (and only one other than their 2003 compilation album ''Death by Unga Bunga!!'') to be issued on CD. The Mummies
The Mummies are an American garage punk band formed in San Bruno, California, in 1988. Exhibiting a defiantly raw and lo-fi sound, dubbed "budget rock", the Mummies' rebellious attitude and distinctive performance costumes exerted a major influence on garage punk and garage rock revival acts later in the decade, as well as in the 1990s. Their recorded output was intentionally completed with poor, cheap equipment, including their first and only studio album '' Never Been Caught'', which was released after the group's initial break-up. Since then, the Mummies have engaged in several positively-received reunion concerts and tours, including appearances in Europe and the US sporadically through to recent years. "Jezebel" is a 1951 popular song written by American songwriter Wayne Shanklin. It was recorded by Frankie Laine with the Norman Luboff Choir and Mitch Miller and his orchestra on April 4, 1951 and released by Columbia Records as catalog number 39367. The record reached number 2 on the ''Billboard'' chart and was a million seller. The B-side, "Rose, Rose, I Love You", was a hit too and reached number 3. Background The title refers to the biblical woman Jezebel, a wicked, Baal-worshipping Phoenician princess who ruled Israel as queen to King Ahab. ''The Young Rascals'' is the debut album by rock band the Young Rascals. The album was released on March 28, 1966, and rose to No. 15 on the ''Billboard'' Top LPs chart and No. 10 in '' Cashbox''. Most of the songs on ''The Young Rascals'' were covers of songs written or originally performed by other artists, with only "Do You Feel It" authored by the band. However, " Good Lovin'", " Mustang Sally" and "In the Midnight Hour" would all become signature songs for the Rascals, with "Good Lovin'" b/w "Mustang Sally" becoming their first No. 1 single. The Rockin’ Ramrods were an American garage rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, who were active in the 1960s and early 1970s. Along with the Barbarians, the Remains and the Lost, they were one of the most popular acts in the Boston area. The Righteous Brothers are an American musical duo originally formed by Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield but now comprising Medley and Bucky Heard. Medley formed the group with Hatfield in 1963. They had first performed together in 1962 in the Los Angeles area as part of a five-member group called the Paramours, and adopted the name The Righteous Brothers when they became a duo. Bill Haley & His Comets were an American rock and roll band founded in 1947 that continued until Haley's death in 1981. The band was also known as Bill Haley and the Comets and Bill Haley's Comets.
