Neurotic Records
Neurotic Records is an independent extreme metal record label specialising predominantly in death metal, operating out of Tilburg in the Netherlands. Founded in late 2003 by Ruud Lemmen, who was initially responsible for European distribution for the American label Unique Leader before deciding to set up his own label. In recent years, the label has been seen as an up-and-coming label after a number of relatively high-profile signings of certain bands, especially those signed from the well-respected Unique Leader label. Neurotic Records is also directly involved in and responsible for the annual death metal festival Neurotic Deathfest, a growing music festival formerly known as the ''Rotterdam Deathfest'' - the name being changed to reflect the team behind the organisation of the festival as well as freeing the event up from being tied down to one specific city location. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. With roots in blues rock, psychedelic rock and acid rock, heavy metal bands developed a thick, monumental sound characterized by distortion (music), distorted guitars, extended guitar solos, emphatic Beat (music), beats and loudness. Fleshgod Apocalypse is an Italian symphonic death metal band. Formed in 2007, the group resides in Perugia and are currently signed to Nuclear Blast. They have released five full-length albums. History Formation and ''Oracles'' (2007–2009) Fleshgod Apocalypse was formed in April 2007 by Francesco Paoli (formerly frontman of the band Hour of Penance). They recorded their first demo, ''Promo '07'', at 16th Cellar Studio, in Rome, with producer Stefano "Saul" Morabito, releasing it shortly after. The demo was re-released the following year on a split CD with fellow Italian bands Septycal Gorge, Modus Delicti and Onirik. Fleshgod Apocalypse then signed to Neurotic Records. Ulcerate
Ulcerate is a New Zealand-based extreme metal band formed by guitarist Michael Hoggard and drummer Jamie Saint Merat in 2000. The band have released six studio albums to date. The band have been featured in numerous articles as one of New Zealand's most prominent extreme metal acts, have toured widely across North America and Europe, and have been compared favourably to bands such as Neurosis and Gorguts. Spawn Of Possession
Spawn of Possession was a Swedish technical death metal group, which formed in 1997 in Kalmar. The band have collectively released three studio albums. A fourth album was planned, but in 2017 the band announced their split up. Biography Spawn of Possession formed in February 1997, consisting of Jonas Bryssling (guitar), Jonas Karlsson (guitar), and Dennis Röndum (drums). After three years the band recorded their first demo, ''The Forbidden'', and right after found bass guitar player Nick Dewerud to fill the empty bass spot. Nuclear Blast is a record label and mail order record distributor with subsidiaries in Germany, the United States and Brazil. The label was founded in 1987 by Markus Staiger in Germany. Psycroptic
Psycroptic are an Australian technical death metal band formed in Hobart, Australia in 1999. Mainstay members are Dave Haley on drums and his brother Joe Haley on guitar. Their lead vocalist, Jason Peppiatt, joined in 2004. In 2008 they signed to Nuclear Blast. As of February 2019, the band have released seven studio albums. They have undertaken Australian national tours supporting international acts, Incantation, Decapitated, Origin and Misery Index. Psycroptic have also toured Europe with Nile and with Deicide. Visceral Bleeding
Visceral Bleeding is a death metal band from Sweden. Biography Visceral Bleeding was formed sometime in the late nineties by Peter Persson and Niklas Dewerud. Influenced by bands such as Suffocation and Monstrosity, they performed what they thought the death metal scene was lacking. Joined by Calle Löfgren on bass, Dennis Röndum on vocals, and Marcus Nilsson on lead guitar, they released a demo, ''Internal Decomposition''. Panzerchrist is a Danish blackened death metal band formed in 1993 by Michael Enevoldsen (after he left Illdisposed) and celebrated Danish artist Lasse Hoile. History Panzerchrist recorded a few demos and was signed by Serious entertainment. ''Six Seconds Kill'' was released by Serious Entertainment in 1996, and in 1998 they released ''Outpost Fort Europa''.
