The Dutch Olympic Committee*Dutch Sports Federation, ( nl, Nederlands Olympisch Comité*Nederlandse Sport Federatie) generally abbreviated NOC*NSF, is the overall coordinating Dutch sports organization that also functions as the Dutch National Olympic Committee and National Paralympic Committee. Based at the National Sports Centre Papendal in Arnhem, it is a federation of 90 sports organizations, representing about 2700 individual sports clubs. IOC members Team NL Team NL is the sports team project with the goal of closer association of athletes and fans. Egbert Van 't Oever
Egbert van 't Oever (15 July 1927 – 5 October 2001) was a Dutch speed skater. He competed at the 1952 Winter Olympics and the 1956 Winter Olympics. Biography Van 't Oever coached Yvonne van Gennip at the 1988 Olympic Games in Calgary where she won three gold medals. He was later coach of Marianne Timmer Maria Aaltje ("Marianne") Timmer (born 3 October 1974) is a Dutch former speed skater specializing in the middle distances (1000 and 1500 m). At the 1998 Winter Olympics Timmer won a gold medal in both these events. Speed skating career I .... Until his death, he remained active in skating as a coach. At the end of the speed skating season, the Egbert van 't Oever Encouragement Prize is awarded to the most promising Dutch junior speed skater. Anton Huiskes
Antonius "Anton" Albertus Jozef Huiskes (5 March 1928 – 9 November 2008) was a Dutch speed skater who competed at the 1948 and 1952 Winter Olympics. He was born in Wierden, Overijssel and died in Coux-et-Bigaroque, France. In 1948 he finished 27th in the 500 m, 13th in the 10000 m, 24th in the 1500 m, 12th in the 5000 m and 13th in the 10000 m event. Four years later he was fourth in the 5000 m and fifth in the 10000 m competition. In 1953 Huiskes won distance medals at the World and European Championships and set a new world record in the 3000 m, which stood for 10 years. He then retired from competition and became a successful coach, leading Ard Schenk and Kees Verkerk to European and world titles in the mid 1960s. Kees Broekman
Cornelis "Kees" Broekman (2 July 1927 – 8 November 1992) was a Dutch speed skater. At the 1952 Olympics in Oslo Broekman was silver medalist on both the 5000 meter and the 10000 meter, the first ever Winter Olympic medals for the Netherlands. He won a silver medal at the World Allround Speed Skating Championships for Men 1949, and became European champion 1953. In the 1950s Broekman moved to Norway, where he competed until the 1960 Summer Olympics. After the Games he retired to become a speed skating coach, bringing Atje Keulen-Deelstra and Göran Claeson to world titles. Gerardus "Gerard" Maarse (1 March 1929 – 27 December 1989) was a Dutch speed skater who competed in the 1952 Winter Olympics and in the 1956 Winter Olympics. He was born in Wilnis Wilnis is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is located in the municipality of De Ronde Venen, between Mijdrecht and Vinkeveen. Margriet "Grietje" Prajoux-Bouma (also Marguerite; 19 June 1912 – 17 December 2005) was a Dutch alpine skier living in France.
