Taipei City Hall Metro Station
Taipei City Hall () is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. Station overview The two-level, underground station structure with an island platform and four exits. The size of the station is larger than most other stations on the Nangang Line. The station is situated under Zhongxiao East Road, between Keelung Road and Songren Road. Washrooms are located outside of the fare area of the station. Due to crowding during New Year's festivities, automatic platform gates have been installed at this station. In recent years, the station has gone through renovations to connect it with a bus transfer station, mall, and hotel above. The Taipei City Hall Bus Station opened for service on 5 August 2010. The diplomatic missions in Taiwan include embassies; trade and cultural missions include representative offices. Due to the special political status and One-China policy, Taiwan is only recognized by 14 countries, all of whom have an embassies in Taipei. In addition, approximately 60 countries, which do not have diplomatic relations with the Republic of China, have established trade offices and other unofficial offices in Taiwan, which have a wide array of titles. Taipei Metro
Taipei Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), branded as Metro Taipei, is a rapid transit system serving the areas of Taipei and New Taipei City, New Taipei in Taiwan, operated by the State-owned enterprise, government-owned Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation, which also operates the Maokong Gondola. Taipei Metro was the first metro system ever built in Taiwan. The initial network was approved for construction in 1986 and work began two years later. Béatrice Hibou
Béatrice Hibou is a French political scientist. She is a research director and instructor at the at Sciences Po. She studies political economy and trade policy with a particular focus on Sub-Saharan Africa, and she also studies the role of market forces in shaping the policies and structure of the state and how that affects the lives of individuals. Education and positions Hibou attended Sciences Po, obtaining her undergraduate degree in 1987. In 1995, Hibou graduated from The School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences with a doctorate in economics. Her doctoral dissertation was entitled ''Économie politique de la protection en Afrique'' (The political economy of protection in Africa), and used a Weberian framework to study trade policy in Sub-Saharan Africa.
