Nesrin Topkapı
Nesrin Topkapı (born as Nesrin Gökkaya; 1951) is a Turkish belly dancer. She is known as the first belly dancer to appear on TRT screens. Biography Nesrin Gökkaya born in Akhisar, Manisa Province, learned to dance from her mother Rabia Gökkaya at a young age. She also took ballet lessons. She appeared on the stage as a belly dancer in a casino in Adana when she was six years old. However, due to her childhood, she was forbidden to dance in the casino and the casino was also sealed. Nesrin Gökkaya lost her father when she was 15 years old. She worked in different jobs due to the family's financial difficulties. She went to London in 1968 and started working as a belly dancer in a nightclub under the name "Nesrin Topkapı". Six years later she returned to Turkey. Akhisar
Akhisar ( ota, آق حصار) is a town and a district in Manisa Province; in the Aegean Region of western Turkey. Akhisar is also the ancient city of Thyatira (also known as ''Thyateira''). Ferhan Nil Karaibrahimgil (born 17 October 1976) is a Turkish singer and songwriter, mostly noted for her distinct lyrics. Nil's passion and admiration for music stems from her father, Suavi Karaibrahimgil, who is also a musician although he is not active in the Turkish music industry. Nurgül Yeşilçay (born 26 March 1976) is a Turkish actress. Biography Nurgül Yeşilçay was born in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey, in 1976. Sertab Erener (born 4 December 1964) is a Turkish singer, songwriter and composer. With her coloratura soprano voice, she started working as a backing vocalist for Sezen Aksu, and with Aksu's help she released her first studio album in the 1990s. Because of her education in classical music, she initially had difficulties in performing pop music. Although she did experimental works from time to time, she eventually preferred to focus on making pop music instead of making avant-garde works, in order to make her music heard by a larger audience. In some of her works, she combined Western music and Eastern music, and benefited from operas as well as classical Turkish music together with ethnic elements.
