Neru Leavasa
Dr Anae Neru Asi Tuiataga Leavasa is a New Zealand politician. He was elected as a Member of Parliament in the House of Representatives for the Labour Party in 2020. Early life and family Leavasa's parents immigrated from Samoa in the 1980s. His mother is from Le'auva'a and Solosolo and his father is from Vaiala and Vaimoso. He was born in Auckland and has four brothers and an older sister. His mother's uncle was Minister of Education in Samoa and his paternal grandfather was Minister of Agriculture in Samoa. Tuimalealiʻifano Vaʻaletoʻa Sualauvi II, the O le Ao o le Malo (head of state of Samoa), is also an uncle. Leavasa received secondary education at Marcellin College and Auckland Grammar School. As a teenager, Leavasa survived metastatic bone cancer. He has only one lung and has a metal joint in one knee, and walks with a slight limp. Takanini is an electorate to the New Zealand House of Representatives. It is located in South Auckland and was first created for the 2020 New Zealand general election. Neru Leavasa is the sitting Member of Parliament. Population centres The electorate is located in the far south of Auckland, on the edge of the city's built-up area. It stretches from Wattle Downs in its southwest to Mission Heights in the north. Māngere
Māngere () or Mangere is one of the largest suburbs in Auckland, in northern New Zealand. It is located on mainly flat land on the northeastern shore of the Manukau Harbour, to the northwest of Manukau City Centre and 15 kilometres south of the Auckland city centre. It is the location of Auckland Airport, which lies close to the harbour's edge to the south of the suburb. Māngere has three major sub-areas: Māngere Bridge, Māngere Central, and Māngere East, with Favona (in the east) sometimes counted as part of Māngere as well. The suburb is named after Māngere Mountain, one of Auckland's largest volcanic cones. Under the act, abortion is available without restrictions to any woman who is not more than 20 weeks pregnant.
