Nerm
Born in Birmingham, Nerm is a DJ, music broadcaster and film fixer, a term given to someone who helps arrange everything involved in film production, from pre-production and scheduling through to editing and marketing. Nerm made first "mixes" at a very young age using cut up cassette tapes edited together. At the age of 16, he transitioned from cassette to vinyl and started DJing. His first residency as a DJ was at the Ministry of Sound in Birmingham. Initially associated with the Asian Underground movement, then drum & bass, he is now a proponent of alternative and electronic music and curates festivals, radio shows, club nights and soundtracks. Shiva Soundsystem
Shiva Soundsystem is a collective, record label and event host based in East London. Shiva Soundsystem grew out of the Asian Underground scene in London and went on to become more associated with other styles including drum and bass and electronica. Formed by DJ and broadcaster Nerm out of musicians performing on his DJ sets, it evolved into a band, including early appearances of Foreign Beggars frontman Orifice Vulgatron and Prash Mistry from Engine Earz. It then developed into a sprawling collective of artists with a large warehouse HQ in Hackney, London, Hackney. History 2000–2003 – Formation Nerm and Renu Hossain where band mates in electro punk band Charged signed to Nation Records. BBC Asian Network
BBC Asian Network is a British Asian radio station owned and operated by the BBC. The station's target audience is people "with an interest in British Asian lifestyles", especially British Asians between the ages of 18 and 34. The station has production centres at Broadcasting House in London and The Mailbox in Birmingham. The station broadcasts mainly in English, but has retained Sunday evening shows in South Asian languages. The Asian Network covers only the Indian subcontinent, with the rest of the continent – such as Japan and China – not covered by the station. The station's output consists largely of music and talk programmes. D-Code (DJ)
D-Code is a British Disc jockey, DJ. After beginning as a DJ on pirate radio in London, he became a record producer. In 2005, he became acquainted with Nerm, the founder of Shiva Soundsystem, releasing his first record on the label in 2006 and recording with the collective. He has toured internationally and featured on radio, including BBC Radio 1. He was a featured artist on the 2009 video game ''DJ Hero''. References

Arctic Monkeys
Arctic Monkeys are an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 2002. The group consists of Alex Turner (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Jamie Cook (guitar, keyboards), Nick O'Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Matt Helders (drums, backing vocals).
