Nerijus Ališauskas
Nerijus Ališauskas (born 6 June 1991) is a Lithuanian professional ice hockey player for HK Spišská Nová Ves, Spišská Nová Ves of the Slovak Tipos Extraliga. He plays as a defenceman and was previously a member of SC Energija, SC Energija II, HK Liepājas Metalurgs, Liepājas Metalurgs, HC Almaty, Almaty, HC Temirtau, Temirtau, Dinamo Riga, and HC Slovan Bratislava, Slovan Bratislava. Playing career Ališauskas first played hockey at the age of eight. He started his career with hometown SC Energija farm team, SC Energija II, and played for them during the 2006–07 season. From 2007 to 2013, he played for HK Liepājas Metalurgs, Liepājas Metalurgs and its farm teams. Ališauskas spent the 2013–14 season with EV Füssen of German Oberliga (ice hockey), Oberliga. Elektrėnai
Elektrėnai () is a city of about 11,000 inhabitants in Lithuania; since 2000 it has been the capital of the Elektrėnai Municipality. It is situated between the two largest cities in Lithuania – Vilnius and Kaunas. History Elektrėnai is one of the newest towns of Lithuania, having been established during the Soviet times as the living space for workers of the nearby power plant. The name of the new town was derived from word "elektrinė" (English: ''electric plant''). Most of the buildings in Elektrėnai are large monolith housing projects built during the Soviet times and there are no historical buildings. Kontinental Hockey League
The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL; russian: Континентальная хоккейная лига (КХЛ), Kontinental'naya khokkeynaya liga) is an international professional ice hockey league founded in 2008. It comprises member clubs based in Russia (19), Belarus (1), Kazakhstan (1) and China (1) for a total of 22 clubs. Assist (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. The assists will be awarded in the order of play, with the last player to pass the puck to the goal scorer getting the primary assist and the player who passed it to the primary assister getting the secondary assist. Players who gain an assist will get one point added to their player statistics. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). 2017 IIHF World Championship Division I
The 2017 IIHF World Championship Division I was an international ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Group A was contested in Kyiv, Ukraine from 22 to 28 April 2017 and Group B in Belfast, United Kingdom from 23 to 29 April 2017. South Korea and Austria were promoted to the 2018 World Championship. It marked the first time South Korea had earned promotion to the top tier of the World Championship.
