Neophyte (band)
Neophyte is a Dutch hardcore, or gabber, group formed in 1992 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The three original members are Jeroen Streunding (DJ Neophyte, The Beholder for hardstyle releases), Danny Greten and Robin van Roon. History Jeroen Streunding was a DJ and organised smaller parties around 1990 before he met Danny Greten at a local party, when they decided to work on some tracks together. Robin van Roon also joined them after a while. Both Greten and van Roon were best friends, and classmates of Jeroens' younger sister. Schiedam
Schiedam () is a city and municipality in the west of the Netherlands. It is located in the Rotterdam–The Hague metropolitan area, west of Rotterdam, east of Vlaardingen, and south of Delft. Angerfist
Danny Masseling (born 20 June 1981), better known by his stage name Angerfist, is a Dutch hardcore producer and DJ. Aside from his main alias, he also produces for other genres and subgenres under various aliases and is part of the following groups: ''The Supreme Team'' (with Outblast, Tha Playah & Evil Activities), ''Masters Elite'' (with Catscan and Outblast), and ''Roland & Sherman'' (with Outblast). During live acts, he is accompanied by MC Prozac (Minne Roos). Career Angerfist started making music at the age of 16. Beginning with 4-beat programmed loops and breakbeats, his interest in producing music started to grow. Scott Alexander Brown (born 28 December 1972) is a Glasgow-born Scottish DJ and music producer, now living in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Brown produces and plays a variety of genres, although he is most associated with bouncy techno. His music ranges from happy hardcore, through hard trance, to gabber. He is the founder of Evolution Records, which started in 1994. Rotterdam Records
Rotterdam Records was a Dutch record label founded by Paul Elstak in 1992. It released hardcore and gabber music. It stopped in 2012 and restarted again in 2018 with MP3 releases. History The label was set up by Paul Elstak who around 2000 quit to start his own label Offensive Records at Rige Entertainment. DJ Neophyte and DJ Panic took control of the label and three other labels (Forze Records, Neophyte Records and Terror Traxx). The label stopped in 2012 when Mid-Town Records went bankrupt. Alongside Mokum Records in Amsterdam and Lenny Dee's New York based Industrial Strength Records, Rotterdam Records was an influential label in the early 1990s gabber scene. "Real Hardcore" is a single by Neophyte which was released in the year 1998. History The song was the third single released from the "Hardcore" Album. The female vocals of the song are taken from the Johnny Violent's song "2 Kicks For Yes" from the album ''Shocker'' and the samples from "Braincracking" are used from Tracy Bonham's song "Brain Crack" from the album ''The Burdens of Being Upright''. Evil Activities
Evil Activities is a hardcore techno music DJ group formed in 1998 in the Netherlands. The two original members were Telly Luyks and Kelly van Soest, however it now only consists of Kelly van Soest. In 2016, E-Life joined Evil Activities. Evil Activities released three music albums: ''Dedicated'' (2003), ''Evilution'' (2008), and ''Extreme Audio'' (2012); their notable works are: ''Nobody Said It Was Easy'', ''Evil Inside'' and ''Broken''. A disc jockey, more commonly abbreviated as DJ, is a person who plays recorded music for an audience. Protracker
ProTracker is a music tracker for the Amiga platform. A free software tool that required no additional equipment, it became popular in the early 1990s with both amateurs and professionals, allowing for sample-based music in the MOD file format. Introduction ''ProTracker'' allows the user to create sequences of notes called "patterns", which are chained together to form a complete song. Music created in ProTracker uses the MOD file format.
