NEOM
Neom (styled NEOM; ''Neom,'' ) is a city being built in Tabuk Province in northwestern Saudi Arabia. It is planned to incorporate smart city technologies and function as a tourist destination. The site is north of the Red Sea, east of Egypt across the Gulf of Aqaba, and south of Jordan. It is planned to cover a total area of , extending 170 kilometres along the coast of the Red Sea. Saudi Arabia aimed to complete major parts of the project by 2020, with an expansion completed in 2025, but it is behind schedule. The project has an estimated cost of $500 billion. On January 29, 2019, Saudi Arabia announced that it had set up a closed joint-stock company named Neom. The aim of this company, which is wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund, the Saudi sovereign wealth fund, is to develop the economic zone of Neom. Klaus-Christian Kleinfeld (born 6 November 1957 in Bremen, Germany) is the former chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Arconic. Kleinfeld is former chairman and CEO of Alcoa Inc., and former president and CEO of Siemens AG. Kleinfeld stepped down as chairman and CEO of Arconic on 17 April 2017. Nadhmi Al-Nasr
Nadhmi A. Al-Nasr is the CEO of NEOM project and is the former Executive Vice-President for Administration and Finance at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology and had held this office since 2008. He was born in 1956 in Saihat. He was the interim president of the institution in 2006 when the university was still in infancy. Education In 1978, he obtained a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from KFUPM in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Career He joined Saudi Aramco in 1978. The Public Investment Fund (PIF; ar, links=no, صندوق الإستثمارات العامة) is the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia. It is among the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world with total estimated assets of $620 billion (£492 billion). It was created in 1971 for the purpose of investing funds on behalf of the government of Saudi Arabia. Green hydrogen (GH2 or GH2) is hydrogen generated by renewable energy or from low-carbon power. Green hydrogen has significantly lower carbon emissions than grey hydrogen, which is produced by steam reforming of natural gas, which makes up the bulk of the hydrogen market. Green hydrogen produced by the electrolysis of water is less than 0.1% of total hydrogen production. 2029 Asian Winter Games
The 2029 Asian Winter Games ( ar, دورة الألعاب الآسيوية الشتوية 2029), officially known as the IX Asian Winter Games and commonly known as Trojena 2029, will be the ninth edition of the Asian Winter Games, a pan-Asian winter multi-sport event to be held from 30 March to 11 April 2029 in Trojena of Neom, Saudi Arabia. Trojena was elected as the host city at the 41st OCA General Assembly on 4 October 2022 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
