Neo Geo X
The Neo Geo X (NGX) is a video game console manufactured by Tommo, licensed by SNK Playmore. Information about the Neo Geo X was first reported in January 2012 and later confirmed in March. It is the first Neo Geo system to be released since the discontinuation of the brand in 2004 and the third Neo Geo handheld console, following the 1999 release of the Neo Geo Pocket Color, which was supported until 2001. The Neo Geo X features games that were on the popular original Neo Geo (the MVS/AES) hardware, and comes built-in with 20 original Neo Geo games. Additional titles were available on game cards. The system was released on December 18, 2012 as part of a bundle called the "Neo Geo X Gold Limited Edition", which includes a docking station, an arcade stick, and a bonus game card. King Of The Monsters (video Game)
is a fighting game developed by SNK, released for arcades in Japan in 1991, and ported to the Neo Geo AES later that same year. The game features playable giant monsters that are reminiscent of characters from '' kaiju'' and ''tokusatsu'' films. In 1992, a sequel titled '' King of the Monsters 2'' was released for arcades. Months later, ''King of the Monsters'' was ported to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It would then be ported to the Sega Genesis in 1993. It was included in the video game '' SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1'', which was released for the Wii, PlayStation 2 and PSP in 2008. Gameplay Players choose one of six monsters (four in the 16-bit ports) for battle, and two players can join forces to fight the monsters together. ''Fatal Fury Special'', known as in Japan, is a 1993 fighting game developed and published by SNK and originally released for the Neo Geo arcade and home platforms. It is an updated version of 1992's ''Fatal Fury 2'', introducing several changes to the gameplay system while expanding the available character roster. Gameplay ''Fatal Fury Special'' is an updated version of ''Fatal Fury 2''. King Of Fighters
''The King of Fighters'' (''KOF'') is a series of fighting games by SNK that began with the release of ''The King of Fighters '94'' in 1994. The series was developed originally for SNK's Neo Geo (system), Neo Geo MVS arcade hardware. This served as the main platform for the series until 2004 when SNK retired it in favor of the Atomiswave arcade board. Two ''King of Fighters'' games were produced for the Atomiswave platform (''The King of Fighters Neowave'' and ''The King of Fighters XI'') before SNK decided to discontinue using it for the series.
