Nenad Sević ( sr-cyr, Ненад Севић; born 25 April 1996) is a Serbian footballer who plays for Mladost Novi Sad. Career Early career Born in Ljubovija, Sević started playing senior football with local club Drina. Playing for that club, he scored a spectacular goal from corner kick during the league cup match against Rađevac. Later he played as a bonus player for Loznica where he made some assists, and Budućnost Krušik in the Serbian League West, where he scored 2 goals on 24 matches for the 2015–16 season. Javor Ivanjica In summer 2016, Sević moved to Javor Ivanjica and signed a three-year contract with the club. He made his debut for new club in the first fixture of the 2016–17 season against Radnik Surdulica, played on 23 July 2016. FK Radnik Surdulica () is a professional football club based in Surdulica, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian SuperLiga, the top tier of the national league system. History The club was founded as Surdulički sportski klub (SSK) in 1926 on the initiative of Gradimir Antić, a local shoemaker, who brought the first football ball to Surdulica. They stopped operating with the onset of World War II and Axis occupation of Serbia. In 1946, the club was reestablished as FK Polet on the initiative of Borivoje Milenković and Božidar Stanković. The Serbian First League ( sr, Прва лига Србије / Prva liga Srbije), referred to as the Mozzart Bet First League ( sr, Моцарт Бет Прва лига / Mozzart Bet Prva liga) for sponsorship reasons, is the name for the second tier in professional Serbia's football league. The league was formed in 2005, following a reshuffle of the second tier Serbo-Montenegrin divisions. It is operated by the Football Association of Serbia. Format The league is usually formed by 16 clubs which play all against one another twice, once at home, once away. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Football Association of Serbia completed a restructure of the league system, and in season 2020/2021 that meant 18 clubs would be competing in the Serbian First League, the number of clubs will go back to the usual 16 following the conclusion of the 2020-2021 season. The Serbian Cup ( Serbian: Куп Србије, Kup Srbije) is the national football cup of Serbia. The winner of the competition gets a spot in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round. From 2006 to 2010, the competition was known as the Lav Cup for sponsorship reasons. History Serbia's cup tournament is the legal successor to the Serbia and Montenegro Cup and in turn of the Yugoslav Cup. This cup tournament lasted for four seasons up until the dissolution of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro in 2006. The tournament was dominated by Serbian clubs with no Montenegrin sides reaching the final. Belgrade giants Red Star were easily the most successful club reaching the final all four years winning twice and losing in the final the other two seasons. FK Proleter Novi Sad
FK Proleter Novi Sad () is a defunct football club based in Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia. They competed in the Serbian SuperLiga for four seasons between 2018 and 2022, before merging with RFK Novi Sad 1921. History Founded in 1951, the club won the Serbian League Vojvodina in the 2008–09 season and took promotion to the Serbian First League. They spent the following nine years in the second tier of Serbian football, before winning the title and earning promotion to the Serbian SuperLiga for the first time in their history. During this period, the club also reached the Serbian Cup round of 16 on five occasions. They would finish in eight place in their debut appearance in the top flight.
