Nemiah Wilson (born April 6, 1943) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive back in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Grambling State Tigers, and played professionally in the AFL for the Denver Broncos The Denver Broncos are a professional American football franchise based in Denver. The Broncos compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league's American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The team is headquar ... from 1965 through 1967, and then for the AFL's Oakland Raiders in from 1968 through 1974, time which included the 1970 merger between the AFL and the NFL. In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. They are distinguished from the other two sets of defensive players, the defensive linemen who play directly on the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers, who play in the middle of the defense, between the defensive line and the defensive backs.
