Nelson High School of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, is located in Burlington's South Central area and serves approximately 1392 (2022) students between grades 9 and 12 in the Halton District School Board. Basic information It was established in 1957 at the intersection of New Street and Belvenia Road. It was named after Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson, a British admiral who defeated Napoleon, Napoleon's navy at the Battle of Trafalgar on October 21, 1805. The school celebrated the 200th year since Nelson's victory in 2005 with colourful events and staff dressed as characters from the day. A cubist mural of Nelson's ship, , painted by artist and former teacher Robert Bateman (naturalist), Robert Bateman, hangs above a staircase in the school's Canada Foyer. Byron Nelson High School is a public high school located in Trophy Club, Texas about north of Fort Worth, Texas, in Denton County and opened in August 2009 for the 09–10 school year. Nelson College is the oldest state secondary school in New Zealand. It is an all-boys school in the City of Nelson that teaches from years 9 to 13. Walton High School formerly ''Nelson Grammar School'' (prior to 1972) was located on ''Oxford Road'', Nelson in Lancashire, England. The school existed between 1972 and 2006. The school became Pendle Vale College in September 2006, and construction of the new building commenced July 2006. Construction was finished in time for the new term on 7 September 2008.
