Nelson Bocaranda Sardi (18 April, 1945, Boconó, Trujillo), is a Venezuelan television commentator and investigative journalist. Bocaranda Sardi began studying journalism in 1962 at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas and started working for television station RCTV in the early 1980s, then worked for television station Venevisión in the 1990s under Oscar Yanes Oscar Armando Yanes González (25 April 1927 Caracas – 21 October 2013) was a Venezuelan journalist and bestselling author, considered a pioneer in Venezuelan broadcast journalism. Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV) was a Venezuelan free-to-air television network headquartered in the Caracas neighborhood of Quinta Crespo. It was sometimes referred to as the Canal de Bárcenas. Owned by Empresas 1BC, Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV) was inaugurated on 15 November 1953 by William H. Phelps, Jr. Its radio counterpart was Radio Caracas Radio. On 27 May 2007, president Hugo Chávez decided to shut down the channel by refusing to renew their broadcast concession, accusing the channel of being involved in the 2002 coup d'état in Venezuela, which briefly overthrew his government. The Supreme Tribunal of Justice (TSJ) upheld the National Commission of Telecommunications (CONATEL) decision. RCTV continued to broadcast via pay television on RCTV Internacional. Venevisión () is a Venezuelan free-to-air television channel and one of Venezuela's largest television networks, owned by the Cisneros Media division of Grupo Cisneros. History The company's roots date back to June 1, 1953, with the establishment of Televisora Mirandina Independiente S.A, (Televisa), which operated the channel 4 in Caracas and channel 5 in Maracaibo. When TELEVISA went bankrupt in 1960, Diego Cisneros purchased the remaining assets of the company. Oscar Yanes
Oscar Armando Yanes González (25 April 1927 Caracas – 21 October 2013) was a Venezuelan journalist and bestselling author, considered a pioneer in Venezuelan broadcast journalism. He was awarded by three times with the National Prize for Journalism. Biography As a child he attended the Zamora School . The idol of where he lived, at that time, was a boxer named Armando Best. Pompeyo Márquez and Eloy Torres also studied at that school. Later on, Yanes went to the University and studied as a journalist, after seeing a notice from the newspaper.
