Nelson Ascencio
Nelson Ascencio (born August 30, 1964) is a Cuban-American actor and comedian. Ascencio is most notable for his membership in the recurring cast of comedians on sketch comedy series ''MADtv'' and for playing Flavius in ''The Hunger Games'' film series. Life and career Nelson Ascencio was born in Guayos, Cuba but fled his homeland when he was very young. He then immigrated to Tarrytown, NY, where he started acting in his early teens with local theater and school productions. He continued his acting training after high school at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the HB Studios. While living in Manhattan, Ascencio perfected his comedy skills by doing some stand up. Then he moved to Los Angeles, California where he took classes at the Groundlings Theatre. Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler (; (born 8 May 1975) is a Spanish singer and songwriter. He started his recording career in the mid-1990s on the Mexican indie label Fonovisa and became the bestselling Spanish-language act of the decade. By the turn of the millennium, he made a successful crossover into the mainstream English-language market. He signed a multi-album deal with Universal Music Group for US$68 million with Universal Music Latin Entertainment, Universal Music Latino to release his Spanish albums and Interscope Records to release English albums. ''Party Girl'' is an American sitcom based on the 1995 film of the same name that aired briefly on Fox in September 1996 with Christine Taylor, Swoosie Kurtz, and John Cameron Mitchell. Synopsis Mary (Taylor) is ensconced in the clubs and parties of New York City. She is finally given a chance to prove herself thanks to Godmother Judy (Kurtz), who hires her to work in a library. Marketing and reception Marketing of the series centered around Taylor's recent popularity portraying Marcia Brady in ''The Brady Bunch Movie''. One television commercial featured a parody of the opening/closing credits of ''The Brady Bunch'', but Taylor appeared (as Mary) in each box. American Impressionism was a style of painting related to European Impressionism and practiced by American artists in the United States from the mid-nineteenth century through the beginning of the twentieth. The style is characterized by loose brushwork and vivid colors with a wide array of subject matters but focusing on landscapes and upper-class domestic life. Emerging Style Impressionism emerged as an artistic style in France in the 1860s. Major exhibitions of French impressionist works in Boston and New York in the 1880s introduced the style to the American public. Virgilio "Villo" R. González (May 18, 1926 – July 16, 2014) was a Cuban-born political activist, locksmith, and one of the five men arrested at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate complex on June 17, 1972. The break-in led to the Watergate scandal and the eventual resignation of United States President Richard Nixon two years later. Life before activism González was originally from Cuba. He was reported to have been a house painter and barber, and to have fled Cuba after Fidel Castro took over the country in 1959. González was a personal driver for Felipe Vidal Santiago.
