Nek Mohammad Wazir
Nek Muhammad Wazir (Pashto/ ur, , also Nek Mohammed; 1975 – ) was a prominent Pakistani mujahideen or jihadi leader. He was killed in a US drone strike in South Waziristan, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, FATA, Pakistan in 2004. This was the first CIA Drone attacks in Pakistan, drone strike inside Pakistan. Early life Nek Muhammad belonged to the Yargul Khail subclan of the Ahmadzai (Wazir clan), Ahmadzai Wazir Pashtun tribes, Pashtun tribe. According to Pakistan's ''Dawn News'', his father: Nek's father, Nawaz Khan, was a member of the tribal elite and owned property in the village of Kalosha, South Waziristan, close to the Afghanistan border: Nek Muhammad was his second child. Dawn News is one of Pakistan's 24-hour Urdu news channel. Based in Karachi, the station is a subsidiary of Pakistan Herald Publications Limited (PHPL), Pakistan's largest English-language media group. The test transmission of the station occurred on 25 May 2007, and the channel went live on 23 July 2007. Originally broadcast in English, on 15 May 2010, Dawn News converted into an Urdu news channel after successful test transmission of four hours a day. The Awami National Party (ANP; ur, , ps, اولسي ملي ګوند; lit. ''People's National Party'') is a Pashtun nationalist, secular and leftist political party in Pakistan. Maulana Noor Muhammad (1936 – 23 August 2010) ( Urdu: ) was a Pakistani Islamic scholar, writer and politician, who served as a member of the 11th National Assembly of Pakistan from 1997 to 1999. Early life and education Noor Muhammad was born in 1936 in Bizenkhel, Bannu District, to Maulvi Nazar Muhammad Ibn Maulvi Ahmad Noor in a well-known intellectual and spiritual family. He belongs to the Ahmadzai tribe of Wazir. He received his early education from his late father at home and in 1951 he entered Jamia Qasim Ul Uloom, Multan. The ( ar, مَالِكِي) school is one of the four major schools of Islamic jurisprudence within Sunni Islam. It was founded by Malik ibn Anas in the 8th century. Ahmadzai (Wazir Clan)
Aḥmadzai ( ps, احمدزی, "descendants of Aḥmad"; also spelled Ahmedzai) is a Sunni Muslim Pashtun tribe found in South Waziristan and Bannu District in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. They are a clan of the larger Wazir tribe. Origins The Ahmedzai, whose name is translated as "descendants of Ahmad", are a distinct tribe from the similarly named community of Afghanistan. They form one of the two major branches of the Wazir tribe, with the other being the Utmanzai of North Waziristan Agency, Pakistan. The common ancestor of the Ahmadzai and Utmanzai is Wazir, who is also ancestor to the Mehsuds who have since taken a distinct and divergent path. Drone Attacks In Pakistan
Between 2004 and 2018, the United States government attacked thousands of targets in northwest Pakistan using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) operated by the United States Air Force under the operational control of the Central Intelligence Agency's Special Activities Division. Most of these attacks were on targets in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (now part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province) along the Afghan border in northwest Pakistan. These strikes began during the administration of United States President George W. Bush, and increased substantially under his successor Barack Obama. Some in the media referred to the attacks as a "drone war". The George W.
