Fanchon Royer
Fanchon Royer (1902–1986) was an American film producer, active during the 1930s. She was one of the few woman producers in Hollywood during the era, associated with low-budget independent studios such as Mayfair Pictures. After graduating from the University of Southern California, she entered films during the silent era as an extra. Later work as a film journalist and publicity agent led on to her career as a poverty row producer. In 1936 she was production assistant to Nat Levine at Republic Pictures, but resigned to establish her own company. However this only produced one film.Pitts p.330 Following her film career, she moved to Mexico and upon the suggestion of Monsignor Edward R. Kirk, she became a successful writer. Emerson Treacy
Emerson Treacy (September 17, 1900 – January 10, 1967) was a film, Broadway, and radio actor. Career Treacy was teamed with comedienne Gay Seabrook to form the double-act Treacy and Seabrook. The team was very successful on radio and in theater during the early 1930s, with routines similar to those of real husband-and-wife team Burns and Allen. Modern audiences will remember Treacy as the flustered father of Spanky McFarland in the ''Our Gang'' short films '' Bedtime Worries'' and ''Wild Poses''. Treacy played in dozens of other feature films, including small roles in ''Adam's Rib'' and ''The Wrong Man'', as well as television programs such as ''The Lone Ranger'', ''Alfred Hitchcock Presents'', and ''Perry Mason''. Mabel Van Buren
Mabel Van Buren (born Mabel Brown Southard; July 17, 1878 – November 4, 1947) was an American stage and screen actress. Biography As a theatrical performer she played the leading lady in both ''The Virginian'' and ''The Squaw Man'' (1909). Van Buren became prominent in motion pictures at the time of the development of feature-length movies in 1914. She starred in '' The Girl of the Golden West'' (1915) under the direction of Cecil B. Demille. It was Demille who brought Mabel west to Hollywood. Mabel was the first leading lady of the Famous Players-Lasky studio on Vine Street in Hollywood, California. Her final role of note was in ''Neighbor's Wives'' (1933) in which she played ''Mrs. Lee''. She continued acting in movies until the death of her husband, James Gordon. Cyril Ring
Cyril Ring (December 5, 1892July 17, 1967) was an American film actor. He began his career in silent films in 1921. By the time of his final performance in 1951, he had appeared in over 350 films, nearly all of them in small and/or uncredited bit parts. Ring is probably best known today for his role as Harvey Yates, a con artist and accomplice to fellow con artist Penelope, played by Kay Francis in the Marx Brothers first film ''The Cocoanuts'' (1929). He also appeared in uncredited small parts in two other Marx films, '' Monkey Business'' (1931) and '' A Day at the Races'' (1937).
