Negretti and Zambra (active 1850 – c. 1985) was a company that produced scientific and optical instruments and also operated a photographic studio based in London. History Henry Negretti (1818–1879) and Joseph Zambra (1822–1897) formed a partnership in 1850, thereby founding the firm which would eventually be appointed opticians and scientific instrument makers to Her Majesty Queen Victoria, Prince Albert and King Edward VII, the Royal Observatory and the British Admiralty. Henry (Enrico Angelo Lodovico) Negretti was born in Como, Italy. Joseph Warren Zambra was born in Saffron Walden, Essex the son of Joseph Cezare Zambra and Phyllis Warren. When the Crystal Palace was re-erected in Sydenham in 1854, ''Negretti and Zambra'' became the official photographers of the Crystal Palace Company, which allowed them to photograph the interior and grounds of the new building. Ettore Negretti
Ettore Negretti (1883 – after 1902) was an Italian professional footballer, who played as a striker. Club career He played for two season with AC Milan, which was originally named Milan Foot-Ball and Cricket Club, in 1901 and 1902. In his first season, he won the first Italian Championship in the history of the club, with an important contribution, having scored two goals in the semifinal win against Juventus in Turin (2-3 the final score), and one of the three goals with which Milan defeated Genoa in the final. With the ''Rossoneri'', he also won two times the prestigious ''Medaglia del Re'' trophy. Giovanna Negretti is an Americans, American activist. Negretti is the co-founder and former executive director of ¿Oiste?, a Latino political organization that works to increase the participation of Latinos in politics and public policy making in the United States. Giovanna received the 2008 New Frontier Award by the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation and the Institute of Politics at Harvard, which honors young Americans who are changing their communities – and the country – through their commitment to public service. She was awarded for her contribution to advocacy and grassroots activism in the Latino community. She was also selected by the Hunt Alternatives Fund for its Prime Movers program, a fellowship for new leaders. In 2010, Giovanna received an Eisenhower Fellowship.
