Negovan Crag
Kondofrey Heights ( bg, Кондофрейски възвишения, ‘Kondofreyski Vazvisheniya’ \kon-do-'frey-ski v&z-vi-'she-ni-ya\) are the heights rising to 1115 m (Skakavitsa Peak) on the southeast side of Trinity Peninsula, Antarctic Peninsula. Situated east of Detroit Plateau, south of Victory Glacier and west of Prince Gustav Channel, Weddell Sea. Linked to Detroit Plateau by Podgumer Col. Flampouro ( el, Φλάμπουρο, before 1928: Νεγοβάνη - ''Negovani''; sq, Negovan; rup, Niguvanlji) is a village in the central part of Florina regional unit, northern Greece, part of the Perasma municipal unit. History Negovani was established between 1860/1861. It was the second village after Belkameni within the area to be founded by an Albanian (Arvanite) population along with some Aromanians and a few Greeks. The village population originated from Konitsa kaza (district) in Eprius, mainly from the Albanian (Arvanite) village of Plikati and others from nearby Aromanian villages of Mount Gramos, having together left due to pressure from Muslim Albanians of the Kolonjë region in the mid nineteenth century. Thomas Negovan
Thomas Negovan (born November 8, 1971) is a writer, musician, and art historian from Chicago. He regularly lectures on Art Nouveau and Weimar-era Berlin cabaret. Biography In 1995, Negovan formed a rock band, Three Years Ghost, which released one album, ''Sidhe'' (1995), and performed infrequently in the Chicago area until 2003. He has also collaborated with members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and R. Kelly, and has recorded and performed under the ensemble name Ver Sacrum. In 1999, Negovan founded Century Guild, an art gallery and seller exclusively representing artists Gail Potocki and Jeremy Bastian. In 2006, Negovan released ''The Union of Hope and Sadness: The Art of Gail Potocki'', with an introduction by Jim Rose of The Jim Rose Circus. Papa Kristo Negovani
Papa Kristo Negovani, born Kristo Harallambi and also known as Kristo Negovani (1875 – 12 February 1905), was an Albanian national figure, priest, poet, teacher, writer and publisher. "The nationalist cause was given impetus in 1905 when the Albanian priest and poet, Popa Kristo Negovani, was killed by Greek chauvinists after he had introduced the Albanian language into Orthodox liturgy." Biography Born as Kristo Harallambi in the village of Negovani, Manastir Vilayet, Ottoman Empire (now in Florina municipality, modern Greece), he became known in his lifetime as Kristo Negovani. He had a brother who was a priest and tended to be pro-Aromanian. His father was a merchant based in Athens, Greece and a young Negovani through a Greek scholarship pursued his secondary schooling in the Greek capital.
