Negiho
also known as ''Mahora Little Girls'', is a one volume spin-off manga from Negima, created by Ken Akamatsu and made into a manga by Yui. The manga originally ran in the magazine Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine from September 2010 to November 2011. The name Negiho or "Negiho (Ito) Bun" derives its name from the word "negi" the Japanese word for spring (green) onion. Plot Mahora Academy has just gotten a new teacher, Negi Springfield. Asuna, a preschooler at the academy, falls in love with him at first sight. Characters * Negi Springfield is a young adult teacher at Mahora Academy preschool. ''Negima! Magister Negi Magi'', known in Japan as , is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ken Akamatsu. It was serialized in Kodansha's ''Weekly Shōnen Magazine'' from February 2003 to March 2012, with its chapters collected into 38 ''tankōbon'' volumes. ''Negima!'' was adapted into a 26-episode anime television series produced by Xebec that was broadcast on TV Tokyo from January to June 2005. A second 26-episode series produced by Shaft titled '' Negima!?'', which is alternate retelling, was broadcast on TV Tokyo from October 2006 to March 2007. Ken Akamatsu
is a Japanese manga artist and politician who has served since 2022 as a member of the House of Councillors. He made his professional manga debut in 1993, and is best known as the author of ''Love Hina'' (1998–2001) and ''Negima! Magister Negi Magi'' (2003–2012), both serialized in ''Weekly Shōnen Magazine''; a sequel to ''Negima!'', '' UQ Holder!'', was serialized from 2013 to 2022. In 2011, Akamatsu founded J-Comi (now Manga Library Z), a free digital distributor of out-of-print manga. Akamatsu has been a managing director of the Japan Cartoonists Association since 2018, and is a vocal advocate for protecting freedom of expression in manga and anime from expansions in censorship and copyright law.
