Nermin Neftçi
Hayriye Ayşe Nermin Neftçi (1924 – August 20, 2003) was a Turkish female jurist, politician and former government minister. Hayriye Ayşe Nermin Neftçi was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1924. She graduated from the Ankara University Law School. Following the 1969 Turkish general election, 1969 general election, she entered the parliament as a deputy of Muş (electoral district), Muş. She became so the first Turkish female politician ever elected from the eastern provinces of Turkey after the establishment of democracy. She served in decision-making boards of the Republican People's Party (CHP). In the later years of the parliamentary term, she was appointed Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, a position that was held for the first time by a woman. Salih Neftçi
Salih Nur Neftçi (14 July 1947 – 15 April 2009) was a leading expert in the fields of financial markets and financial engineering. He served many advisory roles in national and international financial institutions, and was an active researcher in the fields of finance and financial engineering. Neftçi was an avid and highly regarded educator in mathematical finance who was well known for a lucid and accessible approach towards the field. Background Salih was born into a prominent wealthy Turkmen-Kurdish family with ties to the oil business (''neft'' is Arabic for oil). Until he was 11, he lived in Kirkuk, Iraq, but then moved to Istanbul. His mother, Nermin Neftçi was the vice chairman of Turkish parliament, and the first woman in Turkey to be so. Neftçi Professional Football Club ( az, Neftçi Peşəkar Futbol Klubu), commonly known as Neftçi PFK or simply Neftçi (), is an Azerbaijani football club based in the capital, Baku, that currently plays in the Azerbaijan Premier League, the highest tier of Azerbaijan football. The club was founded in 18 March 1937 and played under the name of Neftyanik until 1968. Since then he has been competing under the name of Neftçi. Neftçi played for a total of 27 seasons in the Top Division of Soviet football. The main achievement of that period is the bronze medals of the USSR Championship won in 1966. Neftçi has won nine Azerbaijan Premier League titles, six Azerbaijan Cups and two Azerbaijan Supercup titles. FC Neftchi Fergana ( uz, Neftchi Fargʻona futbol klubi, Uzbek Cyrillic: Нефтчи Фарғона футбол клуби) is an Uzbek football club based in Fergana. They play in the top division in Uzbekistani football and are multiple champions of Uzbekistan. History Neftchi was founded 1962 and appeared in the Soviet Second League (Central Asian Division) from 1962 to 1991 under the name ''Neftyanik Fergana''.
