Neela Parbat
Neela Parbat ( ur, ) is a 1969 Pakistani Urdu film directed by Ahmad Bashir. The cast included Mohammad Ali, Husna, Sofia Bano, Komal, Zareen Panna and Agha Talish. Story theme It was Pakistan's one of the earliest experimental feature films. It had experimentation by the film director with the Freudian sensual themes which was very unusual for Pakistan at that time. So the film received a 'for adults only' rating. In this film, actress Komal had a really interesting foray into the parallel cinema. She portrayed the sensual play thing for actor Mohammad Ali. Ahmad Bashir
Ahmad Bashir (Punjabi, Urdu: احمد بشیر; March 24, 1923 – December 25, 2004) was a writer, journalist, intellectual and film director from Pakistan. He was the father of leading television artists Bushra Ansari, Asma Abbas, Sumbal Shahid and poet & author Neelam Ahmad Bashir and son Humayun Sheikh. Begum Parveen Atif, also an Urdu short story writer, columnist, travelogue writer in Urdu and Punjabi, was his sister. His wife Mehmooda was his partner since 1947. He was a close friend of Urdu writers Mumtaz Mufti and Ibn-e-Insha. Mumtaz Mufti helped him join the now defunct Urdu-language daily newspaper ''Imroze'' after the independence of Pakistan. Agha Ali Abbas Qizilbash (also known as Agha Talish, ur, ) (13 November 1923 – 19 February 1998) was a Pakistani actor who made his debut in 1947 and was mostly known and recognized in Pakistan for playing character actor or villain roles. Husna was a Pakistani actress in the late 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. She was first introduced as a child star in film ''Jan-e-Bahar'' (1958) and played the daughter of Sudhir and Musarrat Nazir. She appeared in such films as ''Changez Khan'' (1958) and ''Ajab Khan'' (1961). She never became a top heroine and mainly played the side-heroine or vamp roles in Urdu and Punjabi films during her long career. Sofia Bano is a Pakistani former film actress and singer who starred in Lollywood movies mostly in supportive roles during the 1960s and 1970s.
