''Nee Nanna Gellalare'' is a 1981 Indian Kannada-language film directed by Vijay and produced by S.A. Srinivas. The film stars Rajkumar and Manjula . Though the movie managed to recover its budget, the movie's performance is considered to be underwhelming with a theatrical run of only 63 days (approximately) which was the lowest ever for a Rajkumar movie until the release of the 1987 film, '' Ondu Muttina Kathe'', which, however, was more of an art movie with an immense cult following. B. Vijaya Reddy (15 July 1936 – 9 October 2020), better known as Vijay Reddy or Vijay, was an Indian film director who worked primarily in Kannada cinema with over 50 movies to his credit. His debut directorial venture was ''Rangamahal Rahasya'' (1970). He was known for his collaborations with leading Kannada actor Rajkumar for movies like ''Gandhada Gudi'' (1973), '' ''Mayura'' '' (1975), ''Naa Ninna Mareyalare'' (1976) and ''Sanaadi Appanna'' (1977) which are considered among the classic movies of Kannada cinema. Manjula (Kannada Actress)
Manjula (8 November 1954 – 12 September 1986) was an Indian actress who acted in Kannada language films and also few Tamil (credited as ''Kumari Manjula'') and Telugu films. She was one of the most successful and prominent actresses of Kannada films in 1970s and 1980s. She acted in more than 100 films and won several awards for her performances, including a Filmfare Award. Personal life Manjula was born to M. H. ''Ondu Muttina Kathe'' () is a 1987 Indian Kannada language film directed by Shankar Nag, starring Rajkumar and Archana. It is based on John Steinbeck's 1947 novella '' The Pearl''. This was the last directorial of Shankar Nag. It is also the only movie in which he directed Rajkumar, making him the youngest person to direct him. Mysore Srinivas (17 April 1943 – 16 October 1995), known by his stage name Thoogudeepa Srinivas was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada films and is remembered for his portrayal of negative-shaded characters. He is the father of actor, Darshan and film director Dinakar. Early life Srinivas was born to Muniswami and Parvathamma in 1943 as their fourth son. He had eight siblings. He lost his parents at a young age. Right from his childhood days, Srinivas was interested in theatre and cinema and was a regular participant in his school and college plays.
