Neale Richmond
Neale Richmond (born 15 March 1983) is an Irish Fine Gael politician who has served as Minister of State since 2023. He has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin Rathdown constituency since the 2020 general election. He previously served as a Senator for the Labour Panel from 2016 to 2020. Education A native of Ballinteer, Richmond was educated at Taney Parish Primary School and Wesley College, before graduating from University College Dublin, with a BA in History in 2004 and an MA in Political Science in 2005. He lives in Stepaside with his wife and family. He is a member of the Church of Ireland. Political career While studying in UCD, Richmond was chair of the UCD branch of Young Fine Gael. A Teachta Dála ( , ; plural ), abbreviated as TD (plural ''TDanna'' in Irish, TDs in English), is a member of Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Oireachtas (the Irish Parliament). It is the equivalent of terms such as ''Member of Parliament'' (MP) or '' Member of Congress'' used in other countries. The official translation of the term is "Deputy to the Dáil", although a more literal translation is "Assembly Delegate". Taoiseach
The Taoiseach is the head of government, or prime minister, of Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The office is appointed by the president of Ireland upon the nomination of Dáil Éireann (the lower house of the Oireachtas, Ireland's national legislature) and the office-holder must retain the support of a majority in the Dáil to remain in office. Irish Neutrality
Ireland has been neutral in international relations since the 1930s. The nature of Irish neutrality has varied over time, and has been contested since the 1970s. Slugger O'Toole is a weblog started in June 2002 by political analyst Mick Fealty. It began life as Letter to Slugger O'Toole, focused primarily on news and comment about Northern Ireland. Damien English
Damien English (born 21 February 1978) is an Irish Fine Gael politician who has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Meath West constituency since 2007, and previously from 2002 to 2007 for the Meath constituency. He served as Minister of State from 2014 to 2023. Early and personal life English was educated at Bohermeen National School in County Meath, and went on to attend Kells Community School. European Parliament
The European Parliament (EP) is one of the legislative bodies of the European Union and one of its seven institutions. Catherine Martin (born 30 September 1972) is an Irish Green Party politician who has served as Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media since June 2020 and Deputy Leader of the Green Party since June 2011.
