Nazir Ali (musician)
Nazir Ali (1945 – 5 January 2003) was a Pakistani film music director. He is tagged as the "king of dhamaal". He composed 123 songs in 39 Urdu films and 435 songs in 115 Punjabi films. He won 2 Nigar Awards during his music career prolonged over three decades. Early life and career Nazir Ali was born in Gakhar Mandi, Gujranwala district, British India in 1945. In 1961, he started his music career as an assistant musician for M. Ashraf, a musical duo. He also assisted musicians Bakhshi Wazir and Tasadduq Hussain for some time. Finally, he gained a chance as a solo music director with a film, "Paidagir" that was released in 1966. He got his first breakthrough as a musician from a film 'dhamaal', "''Lal meri pat rakhiyo''" recorded in the voice of Noor Jehan for the movie, "Dilan De Sauday" (1969). Gakhar Mandi
Ghakhar Mandi ( pa, ) is a city in the Gujranwala District of Pakistan, located between Wazirabad to the northwest and Gujranwala to the southeast. It is central to 33 villages, and the home of Pakistan's second-largest electrical grid. Ghakhar Mandi is famous for its hand made industry and floor mats. It is also known for the production of rice, and wheat. It is also home to a historic railway station. Saghar Siddiqui
Saghar Siddiqui (born Muhammad Akhtar; 14 Aug 1928 – 19 July 1974), was a Pakistani Urdu poet. Also known as a Saint poet, homeless Siddiqui was found dead on a street corner of Lahore at age 46. His dog also died a year later, reportedly at the same spot. Biography Saghar Siddiqui was born in 1928 in Ambala (British India) to a well-to-do middle-class family. There are few historic records of Saghar's personal life. He rarely spoke to any one in this regard and most of what is known of him tends to be from witness accounts. Siddiqui was the only child of his parents and spent the early years of his life in Ambala and Saharanpur. He was home tutored and received his early education from Habib Hassan, a family friend.
