Nazir (title)
The Arabic title ''nāẓir'' (ناظر, tr, nazır) refers to an overseer in a general sense. In Islam, it is the normal term for the administrator of a ''waqf'' (charitable endowment). The office or territory of a ''nāẓir'' is a nazirate. According to al-Qābisī, writing in the tenth century, the pagan ruler of Tadmakka appointed a superintendent, which al-Qābisī calls a ''nāẓir'', from among the Muslims living in his land to oversee them. This was probably a common arrangement in the Sahara and Sahel regions. The title was used in Egypt for the heads of government departments and agencies before it adopted a modern cabinet system. It was synonymous with inspector, supervisor or controller. Nazirite
In the Hebrew Bible, a nazirite or a nazarite ( he, נָזִיר ''Nāzīr'') is one who voluntarily took a vow which is described in . "Nazarite" comes from the Hebrew language, Hebrew word ''nazir'' meaning "consecrated" or "separated". Those who put themselves under a Nazirite vow do so by adding unto themselves a degree of sanctity, as it says: "Until the time is completed, etc., he shall be holy." A person who puts himself under a Nazirite vow without designating how long he intends to remain as such, he is obligated in all that pertains to Nazirite strictures for a period of thirty days. This vow required the person to observe the following strictures: * Abstain from all wine and anything else made from the grape vine plant, such as Potassium bitartrate, cream of tartar, grape seed oil, etc. (Traditional rabbinic authorities state that all other types of alcohol were permitted.) * Refrain from cutting the hair on one's head; but to allow the locks of the head's hair to grow. ...

Nazir (Talmud)
Nazir ( he, נזיר) is a treatise of the Mishnah and the Tosefta and in both Talmuds, devoted chiefly to a discussion of the laws of the Nazirite laid down in Numbers 6:1-21. In the Tosefta its title is ''Nezirut'' ("Nazariteness"). In most of the editions of the Mishnah, this treatise is the fourth in the order Nashim, and it is divided into 9 chapters, containing 48 paragraphs in all. Nazeer (foaled 9 August 1934 in Egypt) was a gray Arabian stallion from Egypt. He was sired by Mansour out of Bint Samiha. He sired many offspring, among the best-known were Aswan, Ansata Ibn Halima, Hadban Enzahi (1952), and Morafic.
