Naveen Raja Jacob
Manidurai Naveen Raja Jacob (born 10 January 1989), known as Naveen is an integral part of current India men's national volleyball team. He currently plays for Chennai Spartans in Pro Volleyball League. Early life Manidurai Naveen Raja Jacob was born on January 10, 1989, at Sundankottai village, Thoothukudi district, Tamil Nadu. Having noticed by his brother with a talent for volleyball, he started playing from 2003. On 2007, he got national attention when his Vijayawada team won National championship. Because of his national level recognition, he was rewarded with a job in Indian overseas bank in 2007. Professional life Naveen Jacob is integral part of India men's national volleyball team. He wears number 18 jersey and plays in the position of Opposite/setter. India Men's National Volleyball Team
The India men's national volleyball team represents India in international volleyball competitions. It is managed by the Volleyball Federation of India and is currently sponsored by Sahara India Pariwar and Asics. The Indian volleyball team has had a rollercoaster ride in its history. Although they have never qualified for the Olympics, they have appeared in the World Championship twice. Despite having little to no presence at the world stage in its history, the team has enjoyed some success at the continental level by clinching a silver medal and two bronze medals at the Asian Games. Chennai Spartans was a men's volleyball team from Chennai, Tamil Nadu playing in the Pro Volleyball League in India. Chennai Spartans made to final after beating Kochi Blue Spikers in semi-finals in 2019 Pro Volleyball League, 2019 season. In finals, they beat Calicut Heroes to win their maiden title. Pro Volleyball League
Pro Volleyball League (PVL) was a professional men's indoor volleyball league in India. The inaugural season took place in February 2019. The league was an initiative between the Volleyball Federation of India, Head Digital Works Pvt. Ltd. and Baseline Ventures. The inaugural season of the league was won by Chennai Spartans. Later in the year 2022 the league was rebranded as Prime Volleyball League. Structure The Pro Volleyball League encompassed six franchises, representing cities across India.
