Naum Hristov Shopov ( bg, Наум Христов Шопов; 27 July 1930 – 18 April 2012) was a Bulgarian actor. He appeared in more than thirty films since 1960. Stara Zagora
Stara Zagora ( bg, Стара Загора, ) is the sixth-largest city in Bulgaria, and the administrative capital of the homonymous Stara Zagora Province. Name The name comes from the Slavic root ''star'' ("old") and the name of the medieval region of Zagore ("beyond the alkanmountains" in Slavic) The original name was Beroe, which was changed to Ulpia Augusta Traiana by the Romans. From the 6th century the city was called Vereja and, from 784, Irenopolis (Greek: Ειρηνούπολις) in honour of the Byzantine empress Irene of Athens. ''Captain Petko Voivode'' ( bg, Капитан Петко войвода) is a Bulgarian TV historical drama series released by the Bulgarian National Television in 1981, directed by Nedelcho Chernev, starring Vasil Mihaylov in the title role. The screenplay, written by Nikolay Haytov, is based on his namesake work from 1974 representing the biography of the Bulgarian haidouk and revolutionary Petko Kiryakov (1844-1900). At the beginning of each episode, the writer himself makes an introduction to the historical facts about the life and deeds of Petko. The 12 episodes are divided into three parts named: '' Haidouk'', ''Komitadji'' and ''Peaceful Life''. The production was intended for the celebrations of the 1300 anniversary of the Bulgarian state. The series obtain wide popularity. It turned Vasil Mihaylov into one of the superstars of the Bulgarian cinema and theatre of that time. ''Villa Zone'' ( bg, Вилна зона, translit=Vilna zona, italic=yes) is a Bulgarian comedy-drama film released in 1975, directed by Eduard Zahariev, starring Itzhak Fintzi, Katya Paskaleva, Naum Shopov, Anton Karastoyanov, Evstati Stratev, Valcho Kamarashev and Georgi Rusev. The movie presents the popular tradition in Bulgaria, during the last decades of the 20th century, of organizing a feast in honor of just graduated at the school boys who have to join the army as recruits. In this particular case, the event is taking place in one of the so-called villa zones which are located around the towns. A sunny autumn day is gradually covered by the conflicts between generations, between neighbors and between different social statuses. The film satirizes the eternal fear of all Bulgarians to have contractors fixing problems in their houses. The story develops at the end of the seventies, the time of the vast expansion of the centralized system for heat- and warm water supply, in Sofia. Plot The inhabitants of one apartment building want to have central heating. However, with significant effort and strong connections, the Journalist manages to unveil that the turn of their building, to be included in the central heating network, has not yet come.
