Johann August Nauck
Johann August Nauck (18 September 1822 – 3 August 1892) was a German classical scholar and critic. His chief work was the ''Tragicorum Graecorum Fragmenta'' (''TrGF''). Biography Nauck was born at Auerstedt in present-day Thuringia. He studied at the University of Halle as a student of Gottfried Bernhardy and Moritz Hermann Eduard Meier. In 1853 he became an adjunct under August Meineke at the Joachimsthal Gymnasium in Berlin. After a brief stint as an educator at the ''Grauen Kloster'' (1858), he relocated to St. Petersburg, where in 1869, he was appointed professor of Greek at the historical-philological institute. Todd Nauck
Todd Nauck ( ) is an American comic book creator, comic book artist and writer. Nauck is most notable for his work on ''Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,'' ''Young Justice'' and his own creation, ''Wildguard (comics), Wildguard''. Career Nauck's first assignment from Marvel Comics was writing, penciling and inking "Mutant Mishaps", a story that was published on the back cover of ''What The--?!'' #21 (September 1992). He subsequently wrote and illustrated the "Mutant Mishaps" story that appeared in ''What The--?'' #25 (Summer 1993). In early 1994, Todd was hired by Rob Liefeld's Extreme Studios of Image Comics when a friend from art school showed his ''WildGuard'' work to Dan Fraga at a comic book convention, who in turn showed it to Liefeld, which led to Nauck's first Image work. Nauck went on to draw such series as ''Badrock and Co.'', ''New Men (Image Comics), New Men'', ''New Force'', ''Supreme (comics), Supreme'', ''Youngblood (comics), Youngblood'' and ''Team Youngblood''. ...

Nauck, Virginia
Nauck is a neighborhood in the southern part of Arlington County, Virginia, known locally as Green Valley. It is bordered by Four Mile Run and Shirlington to the south, Douglas Park to the west, I-395 to the east, and Columbia Heights and the Army-Navy Country Club to the north. The southeastern corner of the neighborhood borders the City of Alexandria. The neighborhood acquired the name of "Nauck" when John D. Nauck, a former Confederate Army soldier who was serving the County as a Justice of the Peace and in other positions, purchased, subdivided and sold 46 acres of farmland from 1874 to 1900 in its area, thus laying the foundation for the neighborhood's development. In 2019, the Nauck Civic Association voted to change its name to the "Green Valley Civic Association" to remove the name of a Confederate from that of an organization which by that time represented what had become a historically black neighborhood.
