Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship
The Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship is a golf tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour. It was played for the first time in July 2007 at Ohio State University Golf Club, The Ohio State University Golf Club's Scarlet Course in Upper Arlington, Ohio. Jack Nicklaus, a former Ohio State golfer and Upper Arlington native, serves as honorary host of the event. The first six years of the event were unique in that it invited the top collegiate golfers to compete. Amateurs won two of the six events. Since 2013, it is part of the Korn Ferry Tour Finals and the field consists of the top 75 players from the Korn Ferry Tour money list and the players ranked 126 to 200 on the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup points list at the start of the Finals. The 2017 purse was $1,000,000, with a $180,000 winner's share. Bronson Burgoon (born June 2, 1987) is an American professional golfer. Early life Burgoon was born in The Woodlands, Texas. He played golf The Woodlands High School and was an individual state champion in 2003. College career Burgoon played college golf at Texas A&M University and defeated Andrew Landry, 1 up, to give the Aggies the 2009 NCAA Championship. He was inducted to the Texas A&M Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018. Peter Malnati
Peter Malnati (born June 13, 1987) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. His sole victory on the PGA Tour came at the 2015 Sanderson Farms Championship. He previously played on the Korn Ferry Tour (then known as the Web.com Tour), where he is a two-time winner. Early years and amateur career Malnati was born in New Castle, Indiana and grew up in Dandridge, Tennessee, where he attended Jefferson County High School. Robert Streb
Robert Streb (born April 7, 1987) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour where he has been a member since 2013. Streb was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and earned All-American honors while playing collegiate golf at Kansas State University. He graduated in 2009 and subsequently turned professional. Brendon Todd (born July 22, 1985) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour. Early career Todd played his junior golf at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, North Carolina and Green Hope High School. He won the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) 4A classification individual championship three times at Green Hope High, winning his freshman, junior, and senior seasons. Beau Hossler (born March 16, 1995) is an American professional golfer from Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Hossler was only 17 years old when he qualified for his second consecutive U.S. Open, finishing tied for 29th in the 2012 U.S. Open. He had held the outright lead midway through the second round. Scott Alexander Scheffler (born June 21, 1996) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. From March to October 2022, he was World Number 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking. 2019 Korn Ferry Tour
The 2019 Korn Ferry Tour was the 30th season of the top developmental tour for the PGA Tour in men's golf. The season began under the Web.com Tour name but changed in June to the Korn Ferry Tour. The season ran from January 13 to September 2 and consists of 27 official money tournaments, four of them played outside of the United States. Cameron Young (born May 7, 1997) is an American professional golfer. He has twice finished in the top three in major championships and has several other runner-up finishes on the PGA Tour. Taylor Allen Montgomery (born January 30, 1995) is an American professional golfer. He plays on the PGA Tour. Personal life The son of Mikella and Monte Montgomery, Montgomery was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 30, 1995. His father Monte is originally from Colorado, and was a walk-on golfer at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He played for the UNLV Rebels from 1989 to 1992, becoming a second-team All-American.
