The National Union for the Future of Monaco (''Union nationale pour l'Avenir de Monaco'') was a centrist political party in Monaco. It ran as a part of the Union Monégasque list. In 2013, National Union for the future of Monaco and Union of Monegasques formed a political group Union Monégasque. In the 2013 legislative elections, as a member of the Union Monégasque, the alliance won 38.99% of the popular vote and 3 out of 24 seats. In the 2018 legislative elections, Union Monégasque won 16.2 percent of the vote and 1 seat. The following is a list of political parties in Monaco. Traditionally Monaco is a one party dominant state with the National and Democratic Union (now, Rally & Issues) in power. Opposition parties were widely considered nonexistent. However, following the 2003 parliamentary election, the Union for Monaco (now Union Monegasque), a coalition of two parties, won 21 of the 24 seats in the National Council. Following the 2013 parliamentary election, however, Horizon Monaco, a coalition of, Rally & Issues, Synergie Monegasque and Union for the Principality, held the majority of parliamentary seats. Union Monégasque () is a centrist political party in the Principality of Monaco. Union Monégasque was formed in 2013 and is led by Jean-François Robillon. In the most recent elections on February 11, 2018 it won 16.2 percent of the vote and 1 seat. Union Monégasque promotes and formulates political proposals aimed at bringing together the Monegasque population around common values according to the founding principles it has adopted. General elections were held in Monaco on 10 February 2013. The result was a victory for the Horizon Monaco alliance, which won 20 of the 24 seats in the National Council. Electoral system Voters can either choose a party list or choose candidates from various lists ("panachage") for the 24 seats. General elections were held in Monaco on 11 February 2018. Since the 2013 Monegasque general election, General Election of 2013, the largest party, Horizon Monaco, split, which led to the formation of a new political party – Primo ! Priorité Monaco, Primo! Priorite Monaco. The latter won 58% of the vote, while the other parties, Horizon Monaco and Union Monégasque got 26% and 16% respectively. 2023 Monegasque General Election
General elections were held in Monaco on 5 February 2023. The result was a landslide victory for the governing Monegasque National Union led by Brigitte Boccone-Pagès, which won all 24 seats on the National Council. The new council was sworn in on 16 February. Background The previous elections in February 2018 saw Stéphane Valeri's Priorité Monaco list win 21 of the 24 seats with more than 57% of the vote, with the party taking all seats filled by majority vote and five of the eight filled by proportional representation.
