National Transformation Movement
The National Transformation Movement (NTM) refers to two political parties in Trinidad and Tobago Trinidad and Tobago (, ), officially the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, is the southernmost island country in the Caribbean. Consisting of the main islands Trinidad and Tobago, and numerous much smaller islands, it is situated south of ..., one led by businessman Mohammed Faisal Rahman which contested the 1995 General Elections and is currently moribund, another, led by retired Industrial Court judge Lloyd Elcock . The original NTM contested two seats in the 1995 general elections using the Banyan tree as its symbol. The party was unsuccessful and has been inactive since then. The new NTM was launched by retired Industrial Court Judge Lloyd Elcock on 1 February 2006. Mohammed Faisal Rahman was a Trinidadian writer and politician. Rahman wrote several books on economics, business and religion. In 1995 he founded the National Transformation Movement. Rahman was appointed Senator on 17 December 2007 by the United National Congress The United National Congress ( UNC or UNCTT) is one of two major political parties in Trinidad and Tobago and the current parliamentary opposition. Banyan
