National Road 30 (Vietnam)
National Route 30 ( vi, Quốc lộ 30) is a highway in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam stretching from just north of Vĩnh Long, the capital of Vĩnh Long Province, northwest parallel to the Tiền Giang River into Đồng Tháp Province before meeting the Cambodian border along the northeastern bank of the Tiền Giang River. National Route 30 diverges northwest from National Route 1 just north of Vinh Long, on the opposite side of the Tien Giang. Cao Lãnh (city)
Cao Lãnh (; Vietnamese for "high leader") is the capital city of Đồng Tháp Province, Vietnam. It is located at around . History During the French colonial period Cao Lãnh found some supporters for the nationalist appeal of Trần Huy Liệu's '' Đông Pháp Thời Báo'' (''Indochina Times'') founded in May 1923. Later, in the initial resistance to the French in 1945, the Việt Nam Quốc Dân Đảng and others in the South merged to form the Third Division of the popular army. Vĩnh Long
Vĩnh Long () is a city and the capital of Vĩnh Long Province in Vietnam's Mekong Delta. Vĩnh Long covers and has a population of 147,039 (as of 2009). The name was spelled 永 隆 ("eternal prosperity") in the former Hán Nôm writing system. Location Vĩnh Long is on the Cổ Chiên River, which branches out from the Mekong River at the narrows of Mỹ Thuận about upstream, only to meet it later downstream. Across the Cổ Chiên river from Vĩnh Long are the An Binh and Bình Hòa Phước islands, some across, with the Mekong River on the other side. A number of canals run through Vĩnh Long, with tall vehicular bridges crossing them. Transport by boat is possible, although parts of the town, particularly An Binh, become unreachable at low tide. Hồng Ngự is a provincial city (thành phố) in Đồng Tháp Province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. It was separated from Hồng Ngự District in 2008.
