National Renewal Alliance
The National Renewal Alliance (Portuguese: ''Aliança Renovadora Nacional'', ARENA) was a far-right political party that existed in Brazil between 1966 and 1979. It was the official party of the military dictatorship that ruled Brazil from 1964 to 1985. ARENA was part of a two-party system enforced by the dictadorship instituted on 1966, where only it and the Brazilian Democratic Movement (MDB) — the "consented opposition" — were allowed. On 1979, a multi-party system was reintroduced to Brazil, both MDB and ARENA were officially dissolved, and the Democratic Social Party (PDS) was founded as a continuation of ARENA. Soon thereafter, PDS had a split which saw the creation of the Liberal Front Party (PFL), current Brazil Union (UNIÃO), while PDS merged with the PDC in 1993 became the Reform Progressive Party (PPR), which became the current Progressives (PP) on 1995. History Up to 1965, there were three main parties in Brazil: the populist Brazilian Labour Party (PTB), the ...

National Renewal Party
Rise Up ( pt, Ergue-te, E), originally the National Renewal Party (, PNR) until July 2020, is a Portuguese far-right nationalist political party. History The PNR was established in February 2000. In July 2020, the party was renamed. Controversy Although in the past the party did not reject connections to so-called neo-Nazi racist movements, it claims to be a target of political persecution. In their youth, some of its former members were convicted for racial discrimination and violent crimes, such as the racially motivated murder of Alcindo Monteiro in Lisbon, after being linked to far-right armed groups such as the Portuguese Hammerskins. In recent years, however, the party has expelled its members that have connections to these kinds of groups and, as a result, the former Portuguese Hammerskins leader Mário Machado has decided to try to create a new party, the New Social Order. Election results In the 2005 legislative elections, the then PNR obtained just under 0.2% of ...
