Monroe Township is one of the seventeen townships of Logan County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 1,739, up from 1,503 at the 2000 census. Ohio State Route 287
State Route 287 (SR 287) is a east–west state highway in the western portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. The western terminus of SR 287 is at SR 245 nearly east of West Liberty. Its eastern terminus is at an interchange with U.S. Route 33 (US 33) about northeast of North Lewisburg that dually serves as the southern terminus of SR 739. This two-lane state route was created in the early 1930s. Until an extension in the late 1990s, SR 287 was entirely within Logan County. The extension into Union County was formerly part of US 33. Route description SR 287 begins at an intersection where SR 245 leads to the west and the south, County Road 1 leads north and SR 287 leads to the east. At this intersection is one of the Piatt Castles. Ohio State Route 245
State Route 245 (SR 245) is an east–west state highway in the western portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. The western terminus of SR 245 is at an intersection with SR 29 near Rosewood. Its eastern terminus is at an exit ramp with U.S. Route 33 (US 33), US 36, and SR 4 in Marysville. Route description SR 245 travels through the northern portion of Champaign County, the southern portion of Logan County and then re-enters Champaign County; the highway also travels through the western part of Union County. No segment of this highway is a part of the National Highway System. History SR 245 was first designated in 1962. The original routing of the highway consisted of the same route as today.
