Agra, Oklahoma
Agra is a town in northern Lincoln County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 339 at the 2010 census. An early real estate developer coined the town's name from the word "agriculture". History Agra began to form around the turn of 20th century. A post office opened in Agra on December 20, 1902, with Isaac C. Pierce serving as the first postmaster. The Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad (which later became part of the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railway (also known as MKT or "Katy") built a line from Oklahoma City to Parsons, Kansas between 1902 and 1904. The townsite was developed after two local farmers, Frank Wheeler and Sam Holder, sold their lands along the railroad. State Highway 99, abbreviated SH-99, is a north–south state highway through central Oklahoma. It runs from the Texas border at Lake Texoma to the Kansas border near Lake Hulah. It is long. The highway overlaps US-377 for over half its length. SH-99 continues as K-99 after crossing the border into Kansas. Interstate 44 (I-44) is a major Interstate Highway in the central United States. Although it is nominally an east–west road as it is even-numbered, it follows a more southwest–northeast alignment. Its western terminus is in Wichita Falls, Texas, at a concurrency with U.S. Route 277 (US 277), US 281, and US 287; its eastern terminus is at I-70 in St. Louis, Missouri. I-44 is one of five Interstates built to bypass US 66; this highway covers the section between Oklahoma City and St. Louis. Virtually the entire length of I-44 east of Springfield, Missouri, was once US 66, which was upgraded from two to four lanes from 1949 to 1955. Warwick is a town in Lincoln County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 184 at the 2020 census, up from 148 in 2010. Geography Warwick is located in western Lincoln County at (35.685847, -97.007987). Interstate 44 runs through the north side of the town, with access from Exit 158, west of the town center. Oklahoma State Highway 66 runs through the center of the Warwick town limits, passing south of the residential portion of the town. Both highways lead west to Oklahoma City and northeast to Tulsa. U.S. Route 177 passes through the west side of Warwick, leading north to Stillwater and south to Shawnee. Prague () is a city in Lincoln County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 2,346 at the 2020 census, an 1.76 percent decrease from the figure of 2,388 in 2010.
