National Regeneration Movement
MORENA () is a major Mexican left-wing political party. It is described as an anti-neoliberal and populist party. It is the ruling party of Mexico since 2018. The name is an acronym for the Movimiento Regeneración Nacional (National Regeneration Movement), and means brown-skinned in Spanish. It also alludes to Mexico's Catholic national patroness: the Virgin of Guadalupe, known as 'La Morena'. Established as a non-profit organization in 2011 and formally registered as a political party in 2014, it was led by three-time presidential candidate and current President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), until 12 December 2017, when he registered as a candidate for the party's nomination, and was succeeded by Yeidckol Polevnsky. Labor Party (Mexico)
The Labor Party ( es, Partido del Trabajo, , PT; also known as the Workers Party) is a political party in Mexico. It was founded on 8 December 1990. The party is currently led by Alberto Anaya. Juntos Haremos Historia () was a Mexican political coalition encompassing the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA), Labor Party (PT), and Social Encounter Party (PES), the latter of which was consequently absorbed into the National Regeneration Movement, to compete in the 2018 general election. Its current leader, as well as their presidential candidate, is Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who won the election. Yeidckol Polevnsky Gurwitz (born 25 January 1958 in Mexico City as Citlali Ibáñez Camacho) is a Mexican politician. She was the General Secretary of the National Regeneration Movement between 2017 and 2020. She was the Party of the Democratic Revolution's nominee for Governor of the State of Mexico in the 2005 election and served as a senator from the State of Mexico from 2006 to 2012.
