Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research is an autonomous institute functioning under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment of India. It is located in Olatapur, Olatpur, 30 km from Cuttack. History The institute was conceived to provide manpower to the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India and created in the name of Directorate of Artificial Limbs Fitting Center (DALFC) in March 1974 and started functioning at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. When the Institute was shifted to a rented place in Safdarjung Enclave, its name was changed to Central Institute of Prosthetic and Orthotic Training (CIPOT).
