Connecticut Route 244
Route 244 is a secondary state highway in rural Northeastern Connecticut. It connects the towns of Eastford (at Route 198) and Pomfret (at Route 97). Route description Route 244 starts at an intersection with Route 198 in Eastford, Connecticut. It travels east, and intersects a minor road called Andert Drive. Known as The Boston Turnpike, it turns northeast before falling back on an eastward track. It intersects Taft Pond Road before passing near Nightingale Pond. Route 244 then intersects several minor roads before traveling parallel to the Vineyard Valley Golf Club as it intersects and ends at Route 97 in Pomfret Center. Northbound Route 97 serves as the continuation of the road towards U.S. Route 44 and Route 169. Minnesota State Highway 244 (MN 244) is a highway in Minnesota, which runs from an intersection with CSAH 12 in Mahtomedi and continues to its northern terminus at its intersection with State Highway 96 in Dellwood. Highway 244 is also known as Wildwood Road, Mahtomedi Avenue, and Dellwood Avenue at various points throughout its route. The route is located in Washington County. Route description Highway 244 serves as a north–south route between the communities of Mahtomedi, Willernie, and Dellwood. The route forms an arc around the east side of White Bear Lake. The road runs primarily through a heavily wooded, residential area. That, combined with hilly terrain and numerous curves, results in a speed limit for most of its length. It becomes after the junction with County Road 12, and lowers to when it reaches the commercial area at its southern terminus with Highway 120 and County Road 15. Maryland Route 244 (MD 244) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. Known for most of its length as Medleys Neck Road, the state highway runs from MD 5 near Leonardtown south to MD 249 in Valley Lee. MD 244 parallels MD 5 in central St. Mary's County, serving several communities on Medleys Neck between Breton Bay and the St. Mary's River, including Beauvue. The state highway was constructed as part of three different state highways—MD 244 from Leonardtown, MD 250 from Valley Lee, and MD 251 through Drayden—between the late 1920s and late 1930s.
