Alberta Highway 216
Anthony Henday Drive (Highway 216) is a freeway that encircles Edmonton, Alberta. It is a heavily travelled commuter and truck bypass route with the southwest quadrant serving as a portion of the CANAMEX Corridor that links Canada to the United States and Mexico. Henday is one of the busiest highways in Western Canada, carrying over 108,000 vehicles per day in 2019 at its busiest point near West Edmonton Mall. Rush hour congestion is common on the four-lane section in southwest Edmonton, where traffic levels have risen due to rapid suburban development. Work began in fall 2019 to widen this section to six lanes by the end of 2022. State Route 216 (SR 216) is a numbered state highway in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. SR 216 follows the former route of US 11 through eastern Tuscaloosa County. It serves as an alternate route between Bessemer and Tuscaloosa (the other routes being I-20/59 and US 11). The route was commissioned in April 1978 after ALDOT took over the route formerly maintained by Tuscaloosa County as County Road 116. State Route 216 (SR 216) is a state highway located in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Georgia. It runs southeast-to-north through portions of Baker, Early, Calhoun, and Randolph counties. Route description SR 216 begins at an intersection with SR 37 northwest of Newton, in central Baker County. It heads northwest, crossing into Early County, until it reaches Arlington. Almost immediately is an intersection with SR 45 (Joe Bryan Highway), which begins a concurrency with SR 216. Just after this is SR 62 (Blakely Road SW), which joins the concurrency. In downtown Arlington, the three highways enter Calhoun County and cross a Norfolk Southern Railway track. Then, SR 62 departs to the northeast on Pioneer Road.
