National Bible Bowl
{{notability, date=March 2021 National Bible Bowl is a 501(c) non-profit organization which is responsible for the administration of two nationwide Bible quizzing programs for youth in grades 3 to 12. There are about 40 teams in United States who all study the same portion of Scripture during the competition season. Teams compete monthly from September to November and March to May on the local level, and in December and June many of these teams travel to a mini National Bible Bowl Tournament. Top achievers are awarded trophies and scholarships to Christian and Bible colleges. Bible Quiz
Bible Quiz, also known as Bible Bowl or Bible Quizzing, is a quiz-bowl competition based on Bible memorization and study. The competition takes place between teams (often representing individual churches), and participants are quizzed on the content of a pre-determined section of the Bible. They are a popular activity in some Protestant churches and organizations, particularly in the United States. The exact rules of the game differ depending on the sponsoring organization. Most organizations have seasons which roughly correspond with the U.S. school year (September–early July), holding local competitions on a monthly basis, with playoffs that lead to a national championship tournament. Contestants are usually students in grades six through twelve, although some organizations also offer a separate division for younger children. Christian Churches And Churches Of Christ
The group of churches known as the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ is a fellowship of congregations within the Restoration Movement (also known as the Stone-Campbell Movement and the Reformation of the 19th Century) that have no formal denominational affiliation with other congregations, but still share many characteristics of belief and worship. Churches in this tradition are strongly congregationalist and have no formal denominational ties, and thus there is no proper name that is agreed to apply to the movement as a whole. Most (but not all) congregations in this tradition include the words "Christian Church" or "Church of Christ" in their congregational name. The Restoration Movement (also known as the American Restoration Movement or the Stone–Campbell Movement, and pejoratively as Campbellism) is a Christian movement that began on the United States frontier during the Second Great Awakening (1790–1840) of the early 19th century. North American Christian Convention
The North American Christian Convention (1927–2018) was an annual summer convention supported by churches, colleges, institutions, and missions programs associated with the Christian churches and churches of Christ, mainly across the United States, but also in other parts of the world. First started in 1927, it grew gradually over the years in both attendance and location. The NACC was held annually after 1927 until the end of that decade; the deprivations brought about by the Great Depression and the dislocations caused by World War II contributed to its being held only three times in the 1930s and four times in the 1940s; it was an annual event from 1950 to 2018.
