Nathan Smith (Irish Cricketer)
Nathan Bede Smith (born 9 July 1995) is an Australian-born Irish former cricketer. He represented the Northern Knights team in the Inter-Provincial Championship, Ireland's first class competition. Smith was predominantly a bowler. In March 2019, Smith announced that he would no longer be available to be selected by Cricket Ireland, as he focused on opportunities in Australia. Career Smith made his List A debut for Northern Knights in the 2017 Inter-Provincial Cup on 29 May 2017. He made his first-class debut for Northern Knights in the 2017 Inter-Provincial Championship on 30 May 2017. He made his Twenty20 cricket debut for Northern Knights in the 2017 Inter-Provincial Trophy on 9 June 2017. In May 2018, Smith was named in a fourteen-man squad for Ireland's first ever Test match, to be played against Pakistan later the same month. Sandringham, Victoria
Sandringham is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, south of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Bayside local government area. Sandringham recorded a population of 10,926 at the 2021 census. History Sandringham formed part of the early estates in the parish of Moorabbin purchased by Josiah Holloway in 1852. Named Gipsy Village, lots were sold between 1852 and 1854 notwithstanding little settlement taking place at the time. 2017 Inter-Provincial Championship
The 2017 Inter-Provincial Championship was the fifth edition of the Inter-Provincial Championship, a first-class cricket competition played in Ireland. It was held from 30 May to 7 September 2017. It was the first edition of the competition to be played with first-class status, following the outcome of a meeting by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in October 2016. Leinster Lightning won the tournament, their fifth-consecutive, and completed a domestic clean-sweep in the process. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. Craig Alexander Young (born 4 April 1990) is an Irish professional cricketer. Young is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium pace. On 26 May 2013, Young made his first-class debut for Ireland against Scotland. He made his One Day International debut against Scotland in September 2014, taking 5 wickets for 45 runs. The Pakistan cricket team visited Ireland in May 2018 to play a Test match against the Ireland cricket team. It was the first Test match played by the Ireland men's team since they were awarded Test status by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in June 2017.
