Nathan Rocyn-Jones
Nathan Rocyn-Jones (17 July 1902 – 26 January 1984) was a Welsh international rugby union full back who played club rugby for Newport Rugby Football Club and represented Cambridge. He won a single cap for Wales and after retiring from playing rugby became President of the Welsh Rugby Union. Rugby career Rocyn-Jones came from a long-line of medical practitioners and his father, Sir David Rocyn-Jones was Medical Officer for Health for Monmouthshire. While studying medicine at Cambridge, Rocyn-Jones represented the University, but it was while at St Mary's Hospital, London, would gain his one and only cap for Wales, when he was selected to face Ireland as part of the 1925 Five Nations Championship. The game took place at Ravenhill, Belfast, and Wales were led by Llanelli's Idris Jones. Wales were outclassed and lost 19-3. Abertillery
Abertillery (; cy, Abertyleri) is a town and a community of the Ebbw Fach valley in the historic county of Monmouthshire, Wales. Following local government reorganisation it became part of the Blaenau Gwent County Borough administrative area. The surrounding landscape borders the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Blaenavon World heritage Site. Formerly a major coal mining centre the Abertillery area was transformed in the 1990s using EU and other funding to return to a greener environment. In rugby union, the Triple Crown is an honour contested annually by the "Home Nations" – i.e. Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales who compete within the larger Six Nations Championship. If any one of these teams defeat all three other teams, they win the Triple Crown. The Six Nations Championship also includes France and Italy, but their involvement in the tournament has no influence on the result of the Triple Crown, although it means that the winners of the Triple Crown are not necessarily the winners of the Championship as a whole.
