Nathan King is a musician, singer, and songwriter from Christchurch, New Zealand. History King's musical career began with his band Zed, who released two multi-platinum albums: '' Silencer'' (2000) and ''This Little Empire'' (2003). Zed toured in New Zealand, Australia and Europe, playing shows supporting acts like Robbie Williams, Coldplay, The Calling and Ash. In 2001 he was nominated for the award of best songwriter and won the award as best male vocalist at the New Zealand Music Awards. In 2005 King began a solo career after Zed decided to take an extended break. His first solo album, '' The Crowd'', produced by Brady Blade and Greg Haver, was released in September 2008. Christchurch ( ; mi, Ōtautahi) is the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand and the seat of the Canterbury Region. Boh Runga
Boh Runga (born 1969/1970) is a New Zealand recording artist and was the lead singer and guitarist in New Zealand rock band Stellar. Boh is the older sister of Bic Runga and Pearl Runga who are also musicians. Early life Boh grew up in Christchurch, New Zealand. She is the daughter of Joseph Runga, a Maori ex-serviceman and Sophia Tang, a Chinese singer who abandoned her own music career in Malaysia to join Joseph in his home country. Joseph was a self-taught pianist and died in 2005 from a heart attack. Runga is of Ngāti Kahungunu descent. Boh left Christchurch for Auckland to form Stellar in the late 1990s. Greg Johnson (musician)
Greg Johnson (born 7 January 1968) is a New Zealand singer songwriter. Music career Johnson was born in Auckland, New Zealand. Starting out in school orchestras and choirs, Johnson quickly graduated to the early New Wave scene playing in bands from age 15 at many of the infamous live venues that scattered NZ and post punk years, including Mainstreet Cabaret, the Reverb Room, The Windsor Castle and The Esplanade Hotel. In 1987, he signed with Trevor Reekie, who owned indie label Pagan Records, releasing an EP under the name ''This Boy Rob'' before starting The Greg Johnson Set with Nigel Russell of The Spelling Mistakes, Danse Macabre and The Car Crash Set.
