Nate Mondou
Nathan Wayne Mondou (born March 24, 1995) is an American professional baseball infielder in the San Diego Padres organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics. Amateur career Mondou attended Charles Wright Academy in University Place, Washington, and Wake Forest University, where he played college baseball for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. In 2015, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Professional career Oakland Athletics The Oakland Athletics selected Mondou in the 13th round, with the 382nd overall selection, of the 2016 MLB draft. He spent his first professional season with the Low-A Vermont Lake Monsters, also playing in 1 game for the rookie-level Arizona League Athletics. In 60 games with Vermont, Mondou hit .298/.376/.364 with no home runs, 24 RBI, and 6 stolen bases. An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field. Standard arrangement of positions In a game of baseball, two teams of nine players take turns playing offensive and defensive roles. Although there are many rules to baseball, in general the team playing offense tries to score runs by batting balls into the field that enable runners to make a complete circuit of the four bases. The team playing in the field tries to prevent runs by catching the ball before it hits the ground, by tagging runners with the ball while they are not touching a base, or by throwing the ball to first base before the batter who hit the ball can run from home plate to first base. Lenyn José Sosa (born January 25, 2000) is a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). Career Sosa signed with the Chicago White Sox as an international free agent on July 2, 2016. The Charlotte Knights are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.
