Nataliya Petrusyova
Natalya Anatolyevna Petrusyova (russian: Ната́лья Анато́льевна Петрусёва; born 2 September 1955) is a former speed skater. Short biography Natalya Petrusyova trained at Burevestnik. Competing for the Soviet Union, Petrusyova was a very successful skater – once Olympic Champion (on the 1,000 m), twice World Allround Champion, once World Sprint Champion, twice European Allround Champion, three times Soviet Allround Champion, twice Soviet Sprint Champion, and ten-time world record holder. Petrusyova was awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples in 1980. After her speed skating career had ended, Petrusyova became the senior speed skating coach at the ''Committee for Physical Culture and Sports'' in Moscow. Pavlovsky Posad (russian: Па́вловский Поса́д) is a town and the administrative center of Pavlovo-Posadsky District in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located from Moscow, at the confluence of the Klyazma and Vokhna Rivers. Population: History The town of Pavlovsky Posad was founded in 1844 by merging several villages (Pavlovo, Dubrovo, Zakharovo, and Melenki). Vladimir Komarov (speed Skater)
Vladimir Dmitriyevich Komarov (russian: Владимир Дмитриевич Комаров; 5 January 1949 – 23 July 2018) was a Russian speed skater. He competed at the 1972 Winter Olympics in the 500 m and finished in 14th place. After retiring from competitions he graduated from an institute of physical education in Moscow Oblast (1979) and worked as a speed skating coach. He was the head coach of the Moscow team in the 1980s (particularly in 1979, 1982 and 1986). He was the president of the Russian Speed Skating Federation and a member of the national Olympic committee. Samalog (or samalogue in UK spelling; sometimes sammenlagt in both Norwegian and Danish: "put together", "total sum") is a scoring system in speed skating. It is used in allround tournaments to convert results at various distances into points in order to determine an overall champion. All times are measured in seconds and then converted to points, using the average times on 500 meter units; thus the number of points for a 1,000 meters race is the time in seconds divided by two (so the average time for each of the two 500 meter "units" in a 1,000 meters race); for the 1,500 meters, the time in seconds is divided by three, and so on. Points are calculated to three decimal places and truncation is applied; the numbers are not rounded. All points are added up; the lower the score the better.
