Natalie Snodgrass
Natalie Claire Snodgrass (born December 17, 1998) is an American ice hockey forward, currently playing for the Minnesota Whitecaps in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). Prior to signing with the Whitecaps during the summer of 2022, she was a two-year captain for the UConn Huskies women's ice hockey team. Career During her teenage years, she captained the girls' hockey team at Eastview High School, finishing as the school's all-time leading scorer. She was named Pioneer Press Metro Player of the Year in 2016. In 2017, she began attending the University of Connecticut, playing for the university's women's ice hockey programme. She scored 38 points in 38 games in her rookie NCAA season, leading Connecticut in points and being named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. Her point production dipped slightly the following year, down to 29 points in 36 games, however she finished as the university's leading scorer for the second consecutive year. Minnesota Whitecaps
The Minnesota Whitecaps are a professional ice hockey team in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF; formerly known as the National Women's Hockey League). They play in Richfield, Minnesota, part of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area, at the Richfield Ice Arena. Established in 2004, the Whitecaps were part of the Western Women's Hockey League (WWHL) during 2004 to 2011. The team was independent, following the dissolution of the Western Women's Hockey League after the 2010–11 season. While independent, the Whitecaps' schedule consisted mostly of games against women's college ice hockey squads. The team also played some exhibition games against teams in the new National Women's Hockey League during the league's inaugural 2015–16 season but was not an official member of that league. The 2017 IIHF Women's World Championship was an international Ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation. It was held in Plymouth Township, Michigan, United States from 31 March to 7 April 2017. The USA Hockey Arena served as the event's venue using Arena I and Arena II. The United States defeated Canada in the gold medal game 3–2 after overtime, winning their eighth title. Finland won the bronze medal by beating Germany 8–0. The European Women's Hockey League, abbreviated EWHL, is an international ice hockey league. Created as the Elite Women's Hockey League in 2004 by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), the EWHL comprises clubs from several countries in Central Europe and one team from Kazakhstan, and is played in parallel to national championships.
