Robert Harold "Nat" Young (born 14 November 1947) is an Australian surfer and author. Surfing career Born in Sydney, New South Wales, Young grew up in the small coastal suburb of Collaroy. In 1964, he was runner-up in the Australian junior championship at Manly, and two years later was named world surfing champion in 1966. He won the title again (then called the Smirnoff World Pro/Am) in 1970. Young won three Australian titles in 1966, 1967 and 1969, and won the Bells Beach Surf Classic three times. Young featured in a number of important surf films of 1960s and 1970s including the classic 1973 surf movie ''Crystal Voyager'' and he also had a featured role as surfer Nick Naylor in the 1979 Australian drama film '' Palm Beach''. Post-surfing career Young ran for NSW Parliament in the 1986 by-election for the seat of Pittwater. Labor did not run a candidate, and he was narrowly defeated by Liberal candidate Jim Longley. Nathan Young is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 science fiction comedy-drama ''Misfits'', portrayed by Robert Sheehan. He first appeared in Series 1 Episode 1 and departed in a webisode entitled "Vegas Baby!" after Sheehan quit the role. He serves as one of the main protagonists of the show. Anberlin is an American alternative rock band formed in Winter Haven, Florida in 2002. Since the beginning of 2007, the band consists of lead vocalist Stephen Christian, guitarists Joseph Milligan and Christian McAlhaney, bassist Deon Rexroat, and drummer Nathan Young. Members of Anberlin originally formed a band under the name SaGoh 24/7 in 1998, releasing two studio albums before disbanding, with the members having a change in musical direction and name. Nathan Young (curler)
Nathan Young (born November 18, 2002) is a Canadians, Canadian curling, curler from Torbay, Newfoundland and Labrador. He currently Skip (curling), skips his own team on the World Curling Tour. Career Young and his team have been competing together from a very young age. It was in 2015 when the rink claimed their first provincial championship in the U16 NLCA Provincials. From that point on it would be a few more years until the quartet won another provincial championship as they went straight up into competing with the U18 age group afterwards. In 2020, Young won his first provincial championship in the U18 category. Alongside Joel Krats who they picked up for the tournament due to Ben Stringer being aged out, they beat Team Liam Quinlan 8-1 in the finals to qualify for the Canadian U18 Curling Championships which was subsequently cancelled due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Nathan Young-Coombes
Nathan Jay Young-Coombes (born 15 January 2003) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward. Young-Coombes is a product of the Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Rangers academies and he began his professional career with Brentford in 2021. Though he managed one Premier League appearance, he was confined to B team football until his release in 2024. Young-Coombes was capped by England at youth level.
